john walker, hope you're doing ok. Yes these videos help to feel better, but from my own experience , let me tell you the only thing that cured me from postpartum depression was exercise. A consistent workout routine, 5-6 times per week, both weight lifting and running, saved me, mentally and physically. All the best to you : )
Hang in there. Depression is horrible but it does get better. Try hard to ride the wave to better!
You will get through difficult times. It shows you are a person with depth and most likely a lot of compassion and empathy. Seeing unconditional love pet videos are the best medicine besides volunteering in a rescue!!

I'm sure some of the craziness can be attributed to covid-19, Qanon, Proud Boys (I think they should be called the Not So Proud Boys), and the economy. People have lost their minds. January is not the magical answer but I think it's a starting point towards better times.

Dogs naturally want to be in a pack. Thats why they get anxiety sometimes if their by themselves. Always good for them to have a friend around.

The Dodo...Every time you share a heartwarming story about rescued animals, I'm moved to tears, but today's story is so very extra special...My own beloved cat's "BFF" (Best Furry Friend)
is another rescue...A HUGE muscular Pitbull (rescued from "Death Row") who is *THE* sweetest, most loving, affectionate, well behaved & gentle big ole guy you could imagine...He's ALWAYS happy & so sweet...They spend most afternoons napping close together on my bed, & whenever I see them snuggling together, my heart just beats with such tender love & affection ...I've been involved in Animal Welfare/Rescue in one way or another since 1982...God bless those kind souls who choose to adopt these beautiful, innocent animals to Love with all their hearts... *: )*

Dogs have more affection and connection with humans then any other animal. Even far more then apes compared to us. That is because dogs have been co-evolving amoungst us for ages. Cats have co-evolved with us but bin lesser extent then dogs. And dogs have more simulary evolutionary characteristics with humans then cats have with us.

We are not talking about apes being smarter or dogs being smarter. We are talking about how they co-evolved together. Dogs have been co-evolving with us trought domestication of them. They have far more 'skills' that are connect with humans. Dogs have learned to read body language of humans far more accurate then any other animal. You should read up on co-evolution of dogs and humans.
