    I like Dolce, and I don’t really care for Norton, but if we are going to discredit everyone for their personal lives, we can pretty much wipe out most of the scientific advancements throughout history. Some shady people have done some pretty amazing things.

      Layne chronically lies to the people closest to him to pursue personal pleasure. You think he's going to tell you the truth if it conflicts with his personal or professional pleasure?

      It's a valid criticism to bring up. Overall Layne gives good takes but sometimes his character leads him to deviate away from what he preaches
      He's done multiple videos on people where he doesn't give any logical arguments and just shits on the guys appearance then uses that as reason to not trust the content on some what the fitness video
      Or on his ig he shit on a guy who was saying don't get protein from powder, get it from whole foods like eggs then supported the reasons why
      Laynes response was to call him stupid, not address any of his points, accused the guy of fear mongering only to dodge the response video where the guy rightly called him out for bring a biased supplement salesman. That's a straight up fact and Layne went silent when he initiated that whole back and forth
      But further if you go back to the deeper facts of the matter. The other guy was right to say get protein from whole food in the highest quality source possible
      He never said powders didn't work but that whole food is better. That's where with him character flaws and deviating from truth overlaps with layne
      He does alot of good but that's a fair criticism against him

    • @OdinAesthetic
      @OdinAesthetic 7 месяцев назад

      I understand your point. However: dolce and layne are head to head here n now. I think it's appropriate and valid to point out how character flaws lead to a feed a flawed character, UNLESS Mike felt everything he is saying is correct. But that'd not the case.

      @@DolceDietI appreciate an appetite for actionable knowledge. I can understand a frustration with having it, and watching the world go by in seemingly willful ignorance to you. But I don't think facts care about ethics. Ethics are a useful heuristic for finding facts, but they are not mutually exclusive. If you care about facts then don't discredit the entirety of what someone says based on actions which are not related to the content they speak to. The fool may speak wisdom and the wise may be foolish. Knowledge is agnostic to these things, and may come from many sources.

Your body absorbs and digests different foods very differently. • @McCarthy1776
      @McCarthy1776 7 месяцев назад

      Typically "speaking in absolutes" is a phrase associated with things of political or religious nature, things with strong subjective opinion based factors. When it comes to science saying that doesn't make sense because science IS absolute. The universe runs off of laws. There are absolute truths, all truth is absolute. 2+2 = 4, for every action there's and equal and opposite reaction, Gold has 79 protons and fish live in the water. These are absolute truths. Do you think the human body is exempt from absolute truth? Exempt from the laws of nature?
      It's not, we know many things as absolute truths. There's mountains of scientific studies plus we have thousands of pro athletes to observe for anecdotal practical evidence. All of Dolce's arguments are based in the scientific literature and observing stats from pro-athletes. I think people have just been so brainwashed by postmodernism, critical theory, or woke leftism that people will ignore fact and through their emotions see it as unfair for someone who is right to sell someone else they are wrong. Just like we give participation trophies to kids just for showing up.
      There is only ONE truth and there can only be ONE winner(or winning team). This new American idea of equity in all spheres is going to destroy the whole country.

      So, yes he often makes sweeping and false statements. I used to listen to him a lot. He's not full of bullshit advice, yes. His whole food approach will not harm you, and will likely only benefit you. I am happy to concede that point - why not? But that's not the point here.

    I used to cook up 2c of oatmeal with all the fixings and would be hungry in an hour. I can eat meat&eggs, maybe some viggies&potatoes, and be set for 4-5hrs.
    The whole thing about oats being for poor people just goes back to the old saying back in England that grains or bread is peasant food as me&fruit are the food of Kings

    I watch the UFC every Saturday. Never heard of this guy. So I can eat as much as I want as long as it’s whole food and not processed junk? And still not gain unwanted fat??? Complete BS. Been there, done that. Didn’t work. I can eat lean meats, rice, beans, etc., and not fill up. But when I focus on high protein, low carb, the weight comes off and stays off. He said so much ridiculous crap in this video, I just can’t. One example will have to do.

      He’s the only ones who’s ever been able to get Gastelum to make 170 and look in monster shape, so I’d say he knows what he’s doing. Also, he preaches you can eat 6 meals as long as the PORTIONS are correct. I personally get in monster shape by going low carb but you don’t have to in order to lose fat.

    Everything Norton puts out is pretty spot on. I agree tho, not sure why he goes after dolce aside from the synthetic toxic chemical stuff. The reason dolce’s diet works is because it’s hard to over eat Whole Foods thus you’re not consuming a lot of calories.

    People are mistaking dietary protocols for specific outcomes, with proper human nutrition for correct and optimal health. They’re different things.
    PEDS will also increase athletic performance and build a certain type of physique, but that should not be mistaken as good for your body. I think the same applies to foods.
    I also think the ‘balanced diet’ narrative is a logical fallacy.

    The average person tryjng to get in shape doesnt have the discipline to eat 4 meals with carbs without binging
    Id def over eat baked potatoes only with salt butter and cheese and any rice dish
    Im definitely a carb addict tho its too fckn tasty, while low carb and fasting keeps me satisfied without cravings, i aint binging steak and eggs but throw some potatoes and rice in there and its over

    My wish list Andrew if you could mention this to Mark is give an ordinary fan and invite all these guys on to have a debate. Some people are treating there kids with these ideals etc and my second wish imagine selling something and it work for the person as advertised etc or the main goal to be helping people and the money will come etc.
