Emily's a boss!!!!! Tearing it up that dirt didn't have a chance!!!Aaron's awesome enjoying his wifey having a blast. Loving the videos guys keep em coming
Loved that! You were having so much fun! But please, be careful with your eyes. Get some old style Bugatti driver’s goggles or something, but don’t risk your eyes.
A little tip for working with those lug bolts. Get one started and snugged up, then spin the tire to get that bolt at the 12 o’clock position. This should allow the other 4 to line up close enough and you don’t have to fight to hold the wheel up and get the bolts started. My Dad used to have a VW based buggy and I helped quite a bit over the years. He showed me that trick the first time I tried to mount the fronts.
Em, you're a great spokesperson for any product you endorse. Very professional. But oh my goodness were you having a blast drifting that car! Smile-o-meter was pegged.
As a car guy, I enjoy any channel that has to do with cars ... a past VW guy, any VW powered car touches my heart ... that said .... Emily keeps me coming back ... those eyes and that smile .... knock my socks off!
These replicas are/ have been quite common here in Germany. Mostly due to the chassis - of course: VW Käfer You should choose a tire with a high side profile, especially on an "Pendelachse" rear end: that changes camber very extreme. Like more than a 60, like 65/70%. e.g. 185/70-15" works great in the front. 155 is original equipment.
With all them spiders, you’d be better off calling that sweet little ride correctly. Webster’s says (BUG - gotty) is the way to pronounce it as it is VW powered😀
So much fun through vicarious watching of you folks having so much fun! That is an awesome little beasty, so much potential to become even more, keep the vids coming I quite enjoyed this one. I have only one initial suggestion and that is that you figure out some way to do a couple of 'neck-saver' roll-bars behind some safe seats and seal off the engine from the cockpit, oh wait, dats more than one, okay a couple, oh, some decent shocks and a wee lift, 1800 or so turbo charged motor, run the exhaust forwrd into the side pipes..... ok ok ok I go now... So much fun! Big cheers from PNW Canada, sitting by the ocean :)
Trucking in Mississippi, I noticed the new big acre manufacturing plant off of I-20 in Jackson! Huge. Wishing you all the best success. Keep good content coming? Say, did ya think the bug-gati was the Nova? Sliding around!
So I believe I heard Aaron say in a previous video that You were not going to spend any money on this rig. Now new tires and rims, going to fix this and that? Guess we'll throw that one out the window! Great to see you having some fun. Thanks for sharing!
I know Aaron knows what he's doing and all, but isn't spraying lube into the bolt holes on the rear drum going to get lube all inside the drum? They still seemed ot be locking up the rear wheels though so it can't be that bad.
Am sat there thinking "sure they use those motors in dune buggys or something similar" then the wee beastie got a right ripping and the puddle spared no mercy.. pure fun.. interesting vehicle.. brilliant. good work you guys. will enjoy to see the wee car progress.
If you get a long bolt with that same metric pattern, 14mm 1.5 maybe? Cut the head off the bolt then use it as a guide pin to hold the wheel while you start the other bolts. Learned that 40 years ago with Benz... :)!
As kids we used to build fun buggies out of VW beetle floorpans, Boogerwelds, steampipe and fencing wire and really? This isnt far off that lol Incredibly simple, durable and SO MUCH FUN!
If you plan to keep on throwing it sideways under full throttle, you might want to see if there is anything underneath that you can bolt or weld a couple of headache tubes to and attach a couple of simple bucket seats and accompanying seat harnesses to. I would guess that it wouldn't be impossible to flip it if you tried hard enough. Looks like a WHOLE LOT of FUN.
I had a vw buggy with a Corvair transplant for double + HP. Highway speeds no problem. Handled as good as any VW would.. And ran decent... A fun project for you two would be to DIY turbo it. Would make for some fun shows. Love you guys. Keep having fun together.
Looks like lots of fun! Bigger powerplant would be good, but that vw motor is just right for fun. Goggles, better seat, gas cap that stays on.... Stay safe. Don't get hurt!
Seeing as you now have the VW powered Bugatti, have you ever seen the old video of a guy changing the belt with the engine running? My first car was a 1964 VW convertible!
Lotta fun. That little Bug is a winner. You gotta keep her around and make little upgrades as you feel like it. Love the vid, and Emily even manages to make mud look good.
That Bugatti is cool! BUT! I am new to this channel and had no idea you had a 05/06 GTO... That’s awesome! I love those things! Definitely in the running for favorite RUclips channel. Tell Finnegan to watch out!
I never saw an American havin so much fun in a car before (don't be rude now gents)! Awesome Emily. I remembered how we had such fun when we were kids. All the cars around here were less than 180 hp and it was a mad hoot to cane about the beach or paddocks in an old Hunter or Corolla. VW's were a bit too flash to do that with unless we were rich people. Humber 80's and old Rover 75,or 90's were heavy gutless and pretty humorous too. Great wee hoon around the layby Miss, wish I could have had a go! 🏆👍❤️😂
I wonder if the stud vs. lug nut thing on the VW is a German thing? I don't remember what my '79 beetle had but my Mercedes has studs. It also has an alignment pin to help in putting the tire back on.
This thing would drive a LOT better with some additional weight under or even in front of the front axel. Maybe make a steel weight plate that can be bolted unser the front axel?
I love the proportions of the car. The front axle is so far out front. Classic vintage sports car. I think I prefer it with the front mudguards. It sounded fast, even if it wasn't actually fast. Is Errin also lubricating the brakes when he lubes the wheel nuts? (Looks like the wheels attach to the brake drums).
Emily i love how your not afraid to send it and get all dirty having fun👍🏻 Can’t wait till u paint it and make it look like a really nice gem.. but it looks great just how it is now👍🏻👍🏻🙏
So do the 2006 S60 Volvo big pain in the butt to put a tire on. Found out recently there is a. stud that has the same thread put this on first and than you put the tire on to hold somewhat in place
A southern belle who wrenches, I’m addicted! Can you clone her for the rest of us? Just discovered your channel and have been enjoying watching how both of you work together so well on the projects you are undertaking.....now I want a boat!
I had a 1964 VW that I reversed the wheels on. I remounted the clips on the inside and put the stock hubcaps back on. The car was red and I painted a 12" white racing stripe on it.
You guys are hilarious, reminds me of my teenaged years when I was messing with Ford Angelia’s and ‘47 Ford pickups; ‘55 Chevy sedans and no money, scrounging parts and fixing things with bailing wire and large hammers 😎
To start an old VW engine thats been sitting for a wile, turn on the ignition key on then give it full throttle for two seconds. Then get of the throttle and the old girl should start when you crank her over.
LOL thanks for the laugh !! its like off roading my dune buggy... you're gonna get DIRTY ! ... maybe get it to turn sharper and a windshield and maybe fiber glass bucket seats and seat belts and you're set !!
That's one fine race car there. Y'all just continue to amaze me with all the different types of things that y'all are involved with. Hammer down. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
I know you have to work with your sponsors and their products, but Coker might have 14" tires you could use if/when the Continental deal runs its course so save those wheels.
I see the front wheels are turning plenty sharp enough. Looks like issue is lack of horsepower to kick back end around, or maybe front end too light. In tight turns the front wheels are sliding sideways.
I strongly recommend re-installing the front wings. Without them, you will be subjected to a face full of "road stuff" -- rain, dirt, stones, rubbish and whatever gunk is lurking out there.
I think y'all need to get custom license plates that read BUGGOTI. And maybe look into a Baja bug suspension kit plus racing harness so y'all can keep splashing around town.
You also should never lubricate threads, it allows more torque and can stretch threads, anti-seize if used should also be a small amount not smothered for the same reason
I haven't gone through all of the comments. VW wheels love to come off when the lug bolts are touching painted surfaces. I'm not a fan of reversing the wheels, but take the time to sand off the paint below the lugs. In the old days, we would buy stripped bugs for $50.00. No fenders, no hood, just a homemade water pipe roll Cafe. Tie a rope to the trunk lid, put on a helmet and hold on as your buddy tried to shake you off in the field. Think of it as dry land, tubing.😂
It’s never a bad day when you’re at spin in the wheels in the mud, especially when it gets all over your face. You guys are adorable. Love the channel love you guys.
I like that Volksbugatti... but there is one thing I need to mention. You put the wheels face off on the drums, men’s the tires are against the driving direction. This causes bad driving direction, more and faster tireware, bad steering, and a problems in wet condition. Maybe you can correct this. There are also spacers available to drive bigger tires and rims. What I love is the old and rusty look. Do not change that!
I just started watching you guys a week ago you are a total stud muffin!!! And your husband is a pilot I only have 14 hours of flight time but I want to finish getting my Private Pilot certificate really enjoy watching you Scott Downing cross-country truck driver out of the land of fruits and nuts Bakersfield California!!
One annoying thing about my little Audi A3 is the bolts instead of studs holding the wheels on. I'm told there's a stud kit for it but I guess I'm not that bothered by it :)
I lost my dune buggy to no filter over that air intake! Get a screen/filter for that because it's your only cooling!! I miss that dune buggy, I was only about 14 at the time...
Emily's a boss!!!!! Tearing it up that dirt didn't have a chance!!!Aaron's awesome enjoying his wifey having a blast. Loving the videos guys keep em coming

Emily you are completely nuts in a really good way love you all
I would like to nominate them for the best couple on RUclips.
Em...you covered in mud and water truly expresses how much you love that car...can't stop chucklin' to myself!
I think that's the jankiest jank that ever janked - but it's awesome!
Congrats on finding such a quirky car and getting it running.
These replicas are/ have been quite common here in Germany. Mostly due to the chassis - of course: VW Käfer

Both of you need those leather helmet's they used back in the 20's or so haha
If your prissy model friends could see you now! What fun!! BTW, is that asphalt free? If so, you should take some and line your driveway with it.
Em's laugh is so awesome. Makes ya smile hearing it.
SHE'S A PROFFESIONAL MODEL. it was all TAUGHT TO HER.
Why is this the cutest couple ever? I love these two. Feel like they could honestly have their own tv show.
With all them spiders, you’d be better off calling that sweet little ride correctly. Webster’s says (BUG - gotty) is the way to pronounce it as it is VW powered😀

Emily I love your sense of humor!!

Good point. Better to only use a small dab of grease on the bolts.
Am sat there thinking "sure they use those motors in dune buggys or something similar" then the wee beastie got a right ripping and the puddle spared no mercy.. pure fun.. interesting vehicle.. brilliant. good work you guys. will enjoy to see the wee car progress.
And just like that 2mins into the video you got the lil red bugatti going again.. amazing seriously keep up the great work
If you get a long bolt with that same metric pattern, 14mm 1.5 maybe? Cut the head off the bolt then use it as a guide pin to hold the wheel while you start the other bolts. Learned that 40 years ago with Benz... :)!
There is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution….you two are great. Keep up the good work.
As kids we used to build fun buggies out of VW beetle floorpans, Boogerwelds, steampipe and fencing wire and really? This isnt far off that lol
Incredibly simple, durable and SO MUCH FUN!
Yellow garden spider. Very cool looking web when they get done.
I like how Emily works, she finishes the job with her knees never touching the ground. Nice and clean.
Another great video you two are always killing it.. also love the peak auto state of the build channel as well
Thanks so much lance!!!
Really enjoyed when you interviewed
Vice GRIP GARAGE fun people for sure.........
I had a vw buggy with a Corvair transplant for double + HP. Highway speeds no problem. Handled as good as any VW would.. And ran decent...
A fun project for you two would be to DIY turbo it. Would make for some fun shows.
Love you guys. Keep having fun together.
We put the same tires on our Smartcar. Super quiet and great traction in the rain.
Em ripping it through the mud puddles was hilarious. And I was glad to see the friendly relocation of the spiders.
That Bugatti is cool! BUT! I am new to this channel and had no idea you had a 05/06 GTO... That’s awesome! I love those things! Definitely in the running for favorite RUclips channel. Tell Finnegan to watch out!
If you do put front fenders back on, consider front fenders off the new Indian Chief. I like the swooping lower rear edge they use.
That is one sweet rig. Turn her into a cool show car. Blessings y’all, from Tennessee. I love your content.
I never saw an American havin so much fun in a car before (don't be rude now gents)! Awesome Emily. I remembered how we had such fun when we were kids. It's not mud wrestling, but it's close enough. 😲😳
ok - that looked like pure FUN in the mud. Glad the Bugatti is turning into all the fun she could be. Rock on!!
Hahaha!!!! Like our First Bug! We build it without Mudguards.....and guarded the Mud in our Helmets....
I wonder if the stud vs. lug nut thing on the VW is a German thing? I don't remember what my '79 beetle had but my Mercedes has studs. It also has an alignment pin to help in putting the tire back on.
Such a great video....the smiles and laughs said it all, now I need to find my own BUGati.....
This thing would drive a LOT better with some additional weight under or even in front of the front axel. Maybe make a steel weight plate that can be bolted unser the front axel?

Emily i love how your not afraid to send it and get all dirty having fun👍🏻 Can’t wait till u paint it and make it look like a really nice gem.. but it looks great just how it is now👍🏻👍🏻🙏
If I had seen them spiders, I'd be running across that pasture like a spooked horse. Oh hell no, I'm out! lol.
I would round the front of the fender edge. I can't tell if the rear tire are too small of the fenders are too large. Add two tiny bucket seats.
Love watching Aaron spray silicone into the rear brake drums. lol
You kids have FAR to much fun ! Thanks for taking us along.
I love your hair getting longer!! So much natural beauty the Bronco has Sike!!! 😂😂😂
This is fun driving through mud and water. Install 2 bucket seats in the Bug-atti.
So do the 2006 S60 Volvo big pain in the butt to put a tire on. Found out recently there is a. stud that has the same thread put this on first and than you put the tire on to hold somewhat in place
That is so awesome that you get that dirty and are having a ball great job as usual ❤️
The spiders make it a true "Bugatti" ( I'm sorry I'll show myself out)
Love it . 1st the Boat and now the Bugatti. Wow. Really amazing, both of you.
That is one of the coolest and most well executed VW-based contraptions that I've ever seen.
Emily getting down and dirty. lol
I know they are super beneficial...but I don't do spiders. 😱
Love the Continental Tires, I have them on My Infiniti G37 and My 1973 Pantera!
A southern belle who wrenches, I’m addicted! Can you clone her for the rest of us? Just discovered your channel and have been enjoying watching how both of you work together so well on the projects you are undertaking.....now I want a boat!
Your dog is adorable! Sleeps anywhere! 🥰🥰
You need some old style googles and leather aviation caps to complete the look.
So, Had a wild thought.about protecting the rear cone. Single Leaf / two Leaf Springs coming from bottom and curving up a bit to form rear nerf bars?
Coker tire still sells bias and radial 14 in tires for VW wheels and they have them in vintage European tread styles that would fit the car .
I had a 1964 VW that I reversed the wheels on. I remounted the clips on the inside and put the stock hubcaps back on. The car was red and I painted a 12" white racing stripe on it.
I like how he doesnt tell her she has a big glob of mud on her forehead.
You guys are hilarious, reminds me of my teenaged years when I was messing with Ford Angelia’s and ‘47 Ford pickups; ‘55 Chevy sedans and no money, scrounging parts and fixing things with bailing wire and large hammers 😎

Hehehe love You guys you have made me fall in love in fixing my mustang gt again thanks for the motivation ❤️👍🏽❤️
That means so much!!!!
That's one fine race car there. Y'all just continue to amaze me with all the different types of things that y'all are involved with. Hammer down. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
😁Flying Sparks, mud puddle surfing & a zip tie moment!🤣 👍
Remember the cement filled valve covers you removed I believe that was ballist for the front end to steer and to keep front end from doing a wheelie
Engine is behind the rear wheels
Maybe a little more weight in the front might help with the donuts. or try pulling the e-brake at the beginning of the donut.
Those original wheels may have been from an early bus because they were wider than the bug rims.
Two thumbs up, i built that car from a kit back in 1980, had a lot of fun too, not that vary one but the same
I know you have to work with your sponsors and their products, but Coker might have 14" tires you could use if/when the Continental deal runs its course so save those wheels.

I wrote that comment BEFORE Emily went roaring around in the quarry.
I think y'all need to get custom license plates that read BUGGOTI. And maybe look into a Baja bug suspension kit plus racing harness so y'all can keep splashing around town.

Goober having a ball! Like it, thanks for sharing
Looks good,
And wear eye protection especially with no front fenders

They used to make an adapter that would stick your wheels out further years ago maybe you could find or make something like that
Love these videos! I think that you should keep the fenders off. Gives it a little bit of that hot rod hiboy look.
Autos AND Entomology... what more could you want? 😆😆
That looks like a whole bunch of fun. More power !!
Way back when my mother bought a new 1970 Volkswagen Squareback and it came equipped originally with a set of Continental tires.
Thanks for making my morning.
I lost my dune buggy to no filter over that air intake! Get a screen/filter for that because it's your only cooling!! I miss that dune buggy, I was only about 14 at the time...
Nice,Emily watching to much VGG,more donuts, good thing it only has 42hp,tires are nice.Great video, thanks for sharing.
Re-homing the (harmless) orb weaver spiders instead of killing them…SUBSCRIBED!!! 😀👍
