Awesome! Now all I need is a pickup truck. The wife is looking at me funny...I'd better go.
Thanks Paul, good luck on the shopping list, Cheers
I have this exact hitch and really like it. I had a pullrite 4400 slider hitch that weighs over 200lbs. This 2600 hitch is lightweight and does the same thing. I don't need a helping hand to take out or put in truck. No chucking or tug test anymore either. Pullrite says it can handle 20k and its made of USA steel. That's good enough for me to trust it towing my toyhauler. Nice video.
Hi Steve, thanks for taking the time to watch the video and to add your comments. I could not agree with you more. The ability to take the hitch in and out of the truck on my own is amazing and yes built in the US is an added bonus...Love it. Safe travels, Cheers Dave
Thanks for this video. A person can talk to me all day about how this hitch is to be mounted but I learn visually. I too am alone and a bit physically impaired so the weight of the PullRite is a definite plus. Thanks again and enjoy your new hitch!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. It’s now going into my third year using this hitch and I’m still impressed with it. Cheers and take care. Dave
Good information about the hitch. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels.
Thanks Craig
This is a good install video on the PullRite hitch! Thanks for sharing! ~ Shion and Matthew
Thanks for stopping by and we appreciate you comments, cheers
I have this same hitch but with the rails that adapt to the FORD pucks. I've had it on three different trucks . Allot easier to install and remove than the Reese factory hitch from Ford. I pull a 40 ft Alpine. So far no issues.
Hi E Rod, this is great information too as we're just starting out. Cheers and thanks for dropping by. Dave
That’s the one I’ll be buying once I buy my 5th wheel.
I'm glad you found this useful, safe travels, cheers Dave
Very well done video. Very informative. I just bought a fifth wheel camper and was leaning towards this style hitch. I think I will move forward and order one. Thanks.
Greeting, Glad you found the video useful. isn't it great how RUclips can help us when researching products. Just a suggestion, be safe have a tech compare all of the number to ensure the setup is correct for you system. We hope you have great success with your new RV. Happy Trails, Cheers Dave
Thanks for the very clear demonstration. Question: How will you handle your bed cover with this hitch? Will you leave it totally folded, or fold it to the first section?
Hi Jim, the hitch itself fits under my cover when not in use and folded back to the cab when connected and I still have lots of room for turning in that position. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have anymore questions. Cheers Dave
Very informative Dave, very different from the conventional hitches......JB..
Thanks 👍
A couple of years have gone by now and since I talk with you earlier I bought a 2022 CCLB but I still have my hitch I want be getting rid of this hitch.
Hi Bishop, what is a CCLB, is it a new truck or RV? Thanks for the update and all the best moving forward, cheers Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides Oh sorry sir Crew Cab Long Bed.
Wow cool light hitch for sure! Does it articulate and allow for uneven hookup? Ours isn’t really heavy it comes out with two sliding pins! But we never use the truck bed and the truck cover is always on it, so hides the hitch!! Good video!!
Hi Gloria, I only have one trip with it so far and it pulled beautifully. you can hook up from any angle. have not tryied it on an incline but plan on doing another review in the fall. Looking forward to getting this year. lets kepp uor fingers crossed., Cheers and thanks for watching, Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides Excellent!! I shall learn from you when I do ours haha
@@HarleyGurl114 LOL the pressures on, ;-)
@@HarleysDinersRides Thanks for this video, very insightful. How much lateral travel does this hitch provide? i.e. how much can the trailer and truck tilt left or right opposite to each other (or up or down, in-line) when towing on uneven ground. It seems like the neck of the adapter ball may contact the receiver cone when the truck is on a significantly different angle from the trailer. (I'm imagining switchback corners on a hill)
@@jlr50708 To date there have been no issues with clearance and laterally and I have parked the RV on some on challenging grades. It's winter here but this summer when we are on the road I'll shoot some video of the hitch in vacation. Thanks for watching and take care. Cheers Dave
I also have the same hitch installed, I paid the dealership to install mine since they had one in stock and were able to get it installed while I did my walk through, I noticed they installed the ball on mine towards the back of the pin box, not toward the front like you did, I mentioned it to the installer and they said I wouldn’t have clearance on the bed rails, have you noticed coming close at all? I have a short bed mega cab truck and similar pin box. Thank you
Hi Alfa, I had no problems with clearances and this is also the way the dealer-installed mine for the first time. There is an adjustment that can be made to give you more height on the bed rails. I have 8 inches of clearance on mine. You can also call PullRite for assistance in getting the setup. FYI, even with the Ball installed in front of the pin or closer to the cab of the truck it still leaves me shy of having a 90-degree turning radius. hope this helps, Dave
seems much more complicated that traditional kingpin hitches overall - is it more expensive too?
It seems like you are converting gooseneck to traditional to another gooseneck adapter.
We stopped RVing in 2012, hope to get back to it in the next few years.
Hi Rob, I went with this hitch because I can install and remove it from my RAM short bed truck by myself. It weights only 60 lbs. Whereas the SuperGlide model weights over 300 lbs and would require a mechanical lift and or additional people. I give up a bit on the turning radius as I'll not be able to do a full 90 degree turn but it's close. This hitch came in just below $2000 cdn installed, whereas the SuperGlide was over $3000 installed. Bit of savings, but again the main reason was the ease of a one man install. Hope this helps, cheers and be safe. Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides good to know.
I had a Reese 16k double pivot (damn heavy) in a Long box Ram dually. It didn't come out often.
Good info for when I get back into it.
I do have same hitch, only thing I don't like how high I need to rise the front of trailer to clear the ball from cone. Almost on the end of my front legs travel to do that. It is use on 2022 Ford F250. Truck is a stock height not lifted and tires are stock too.
I've been using my setup for the past three years and the only dislike is having to raise the front of the trailer high. I have a 2017 RAM 2500 Diesel and like how easy it is to pull with it and the fact I can install and remove the hitch on my own. I checked out your channel and it looks like you have a lot of fun ripping up the desert. Cheers Dave
Awesome video, I have the same setup as you for my short bed ram 3500, I tow a 37' Jayco eagle.
I had two other one that was very heavy so I sold them and went with the PullRite Superlite #2600 also, I can get about an 88% back up radius so yeah I love this hitch.
Hi Bishop, going from a tow behind to a fifth wheel was easier than I thought it would be. I have only made one trip with the hitch and can't believe how smooth the ride is. How long have you had yours and any advise on it. I think I'll do a follow up video in the fall to share my experiences. Thanks for your comment and be safe, cheers Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides Yeah I had mines now about 1 1/2 years now, I'm in the PNW and we tow with it to Las Vegas NV, down to CALIFORNIA up from California and back up to Washington State with no problem what so ever.
My first one was a B&W Slider and I sold that because it was too heavy, so I figured if I get a B&W non-slider that I will be good.
Well that didn't work out so now it was between the AHU and the PullRite, I am so glad I went with this one. Hand down the best move I did, in your video was the same process that I did. Yes please do a follow up mine 5th wheel is at the dealer also getting some warranty work done, it been there since December. Be safe.
@@bishopgeorge1333 Thanks Bishop for taking the time to reply, I appreciate your comments. Have a great year RVing, Cheers
@@bishopgeorge1333 Question, how often do you check the torque on the King Pin Adapter bolts? Thanks for your responses, Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides Sorry for being late but once I torque it I don't recheck it, I guess I should for safety reasons.
I wanted to ask and now that I have a long bed I don't have to worry about hitting my cab, what kind of hard cover you have? I still have and love my hitch, easy in and out for us old guys, lol.
Awesome! This is the hitch I would probably switch to if (when) I have a chance. How does it impact your ability to turn sharp backing up? Can you still go to +/- 90 degrees without hitting the back window? It looks like you have a short bed (as we do) so I’m very curious if there is any noticeable decrease in maneuverability over a sliding hitch... It looks like it works well! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching, the main reason I went with this hitch is that we are still part-time RVers. Lori is still 2 -3 years away from retirement. This season we are planning 4 or 5 short weekend trips and one 2 week trip to the Maritimes if restriction are lifted. The rest of the time the trailer will be sitting in a trailer park. for this reason only I wanted a hitch that I could install and remove from my truck on my own. this hitch weights in at 60 lbs compared to the sliders at 200 to 300 lbs. I do give up the ability to turn at 90 degrees but it is very close and do not see this as a problem. It tows great and is quiet and has no clunking of the hitch and I can approach the hookup from any angle. This is also a plus. Time will tell and I'll do a follow-up review in the fall. Cheers and Safe Travels. Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides makes sense. We are part timers too and the hitch just ends up living in the truck because it is sooo heavy! Sounds like the new hitch will work out well for you. We definitely will look forward to a follow-up in the fall.
@@JonesingforAdventure Thanks Let's hope for a great summer and lots of travel. cheers Dave
@@JonesingforAdventure With my setup and I have a SB ram with a 2019 Jayco Eagle and I can get about 88% turn radius which I will never do in normal condition.
@@bishopgeorge1333 Good to know - thanks! I'm sure I'd be fine. I haven't even bothered sliding my hitch for quite a while.
How does the hitch affect your 5er's level stance? Is it riding nose high? Looks like you have plenty of clearance between the bed rails to the bottom of your 5er. Still deciding on this hitch or a Demco Recon hitch. Thanks for sharing this video.
Hi Will and thanks for stopping by. I think what gives it the nose high look is more due to the 2 inch suspension lift on my truck. We drove 2 hours home from the dealership and it pulled great even with a cross wind. Hope this helps
Hi. Safety chains not an option with this hitch? Thanks!
Greetings, and thanks for watching, where I live safety chains are not required for my set up. If you are interested in them here is a link for this hitch. www.pullrite.com/sites/default/files/product_attachment/2441%20SL%20Safety%20Chain%20Kit.pdf. I Hope this helps. To be sure send an email to Pullrite and they will be able to better advise. cheers and take care, Dave
Good evening, just watched the Pullrite video and read the comments. I have the same hitch in a Ram 3500 short box. I like the ease of setup and the ability to remove from bed by myself. I, unfortunately, don't like pulling with it. Every time I take off or stop the hitch makes a banging (I believe it is sliding in the free floating base plates) noise. I have checked torques numerous times and even changed the ball mount from front of pin to back of pin with no help. I have the lock out bars on my Mor Ride king pin. Do any of you using the Pullrite have the same experience? TIA
Hi George, thanks for stopping by. We just got home from a week long trip using major and secondary highways without any concerns. Not sure what could be causing your experience. Have you contacted PullRite? Keep in touch and let me know how you make out and I'll do the same. Safe Travels, Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides i think i will contact them. Thanks
@@georgewebb6963 Hi George, lets us know how you make out. best wishes.
I wish I had something to add, but I know zero about 5th-Wheels or their Hitches. I watched this video bcz I am doing my Best to support your MotoChannel Folks.
I do not know of any other Canadians who are hosting an on-going MotoStream and this is my primary interest in you 3 "Canadian Guys". Despite the fact that you hold it at an hour that is much to early for me and even worse for Riders all along the West coast, including Riders in Alaska, Yukon, B.C., Washington, Oregon & California. Which reminds me, did you have a LiveStream today, today is Sunday correct.? I cannot find the past LiveStream recording on either one of your Channels.

What size is the draw down nut?
RV service department Installed mine it spun slightly in the bed. I tried 1 1/8 but it wobbles on the nut thinking it's 29 or 28 mm. If ya could let me know that would be great thanks.
Hi Patrick, I'm away on a bike trip and will be back home on Monday. I'll take a look at mine and will get back to you, Cheers and enjoy your weekend, Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides That is very kind of you. Enjoy the trip be safe, God Bless and cheers.
Hey Patrick, will get back to you shortly. going up this evening to the trailer and will measure the nut. Cheer Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides Thanks a million
@@patrickbetterearnedthangiv807 Hi Patrick. Well finally was able to answer your question. It was not as easy to do. first drove up to the trailer and got the nut. in my toolbox is the socket that I use. 1 1/8 I did see that it was a loose fit. I then brought the nut home and checked my toolbox. I only have up to 24 mil. Went to my friend down the street who has everything. except for a 28 mil he only had up to 27. Entry friend number two how looked in his junk draw and found an old 28 wrench. the 28 wrench seems to fit the nut better bit of play. The opinion is both will work. 28 is a bit better. Now I have to go out and buy a 28mil socket...LOL Cheers
What size bed is this, I am wondering.
Greeting and thanks for stopping by, my truck bed is 6'4"
