I keep a copy of it in my car and listen to it regularly. Easily one of my favorite albums ever made, even all these years later it still hold up amazingly
We’ll actually be playing The Gambler at my wedding next year, too
I love Fun. So much.. I love Nate Ruess' voice.. IDK how to describe why I like them so much.. I guess cause they aren't like the music now. Their music has feeling.. and so much more than the junk they have today. The only way I can describe Fun. is they sound like an old band.. Idk. And I feel like I never heard Nate's voice the way it sounds before.. I just love hearing Fun. These songs are the songs you can listen to over and over again and not get tired of it.. Or that's how I am.
it's been 8 years and Fun. doesn't make music anymore, but I was wondering if you consider the music in the last few years to be better than back when you posted this comment. I certainly do, and agree with this comment considering the time it was posted. But if you still use RUclips still I would like to know if you like modern music or not.

This album will live on forever as one of 2009's best. Some Nights was good (except for "we are young" being played too much) but this album blows it out of the water. If you didn't know who or what fun. was in 2009 or 2010, maybe even 2011, you were missing out.

I didn't know fun. until We Are Young. Every time I click on another one of their songs I don't think it can be as good as the last one. But guess what? It is.

+carson moree There's only a couple of songs that use autotune, and the ones that do use it as an instrument rather than a voice. Listen to Some Nights and Stars again but imagine it as Nate using his voice as an electric guitar. That's what they were going for
Anticlimaxer stars is legitimately their best song, but this album is better than some nights.

I just saw them last night, and they where better than the record. Nate, Jack and Andrew's passion, and energy on stage is so infectious. If they ever come near you, I recommend that you get tickets because you will never regret it.
Saw them in Jacksonville, Florida Dec. 4th and now cannot get enough of them. They are a unique sound and they know how to make you "feel alive". Big fan now.

See them live, saw the Show in Boston on Saturday it was amazing. Nate is a master performer (as are the other band members) the songs have nice variation too the show was beyond my wildest expectations, and the version of Barlights was godly...

You're beautiful omg those are like three of my top fav 5 alongside Kansas, and Rush. You rock! They are all unique, but Queen DEFINITELY drew influence from The Beatles, and Fun. DEFINITELY drew influence from both of them BIG TIME. Queen and Fun. still have their own nuances, which is more than enough to call them unique

Just knowing those two songs, as most people do, is very different to getting to know them because of those songs. I'd never heard of them before Some Nights, but got both albums for christmas and now consider them my favourite band.
