This album takes me to my college days in 2011. The Gambler still brings tears to my eyes.
And suddenly I feel incredibly old thinking about my first college days in 2011 as being "taken back to", oh man.

That bridge has the best vocal melody ever. That high note breaks me every time. Nate Ruess is a treasure.

It's got a cool kind of cabaret/chanson sound to it. Sure, there's some classic influence like Queen and what not, but it's not just an emulation, it's an original with some good influence. x)
A boy told me to listen to this in high school and I never stopped listening to it. What a masterpiece.

I’ve said it once and I will say it again, this is infinitely better than Some Nights. This album is a near masterpiece. I wish Fun would return to grace us with another piece of art. Maybe someday...we can hope.

I just believe that this is one of the best albums that I have ever listened to. I just find myself playing on repeat and the messages touch my soul.
I have had this album on loop for the past month or two. Each song is an emotional experience and gives me these feelings of joy, bittersweet tears and chills. I don’t know what is so amazing about this album but it doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s certainly not your average everyday pop music. It’s something different.

Matt Hart they did nit break up they are currently on hiatus working on different things nat for his solo career one of them is currently working on the bleachers(band) and ones working on music for movies

I can honestly see a movie being made around the album, like Rocketman for example. Songs can be rearranged to fit the story but Take Your Time is a perfect end credits song. It also acts as a thank you to the audience, bidding them safe travel home from the theater.

Crazy how I haven’t listened to this album since 2012 yet I still can sing along with every song. Also truly surprised this album wasn’t adapted into a mini musical. It’s so theatrical it would be perfect.

ive been listening to fun's most popular songs on and off for years and just recently found this and wow this whole album is amazing. after hearing this, i went to listen to the whole some nights album and aim and ignite is overall better imo. some nights has extremely good songs but some are also pretty bad imo while this album doesnt have a single bad song imo. i wish they kept on making music :(

Right away the cover grabs you by the lapels and shakes you insistently, then the tunes start to slap you until you're seeing stars (and hearing Sparks, way back there, beguiling and as insubstantial as ectoplasm). Like the sweet breeze that pushes you along the sidewalk and lifts the skirt of that pretty girl walking ahead of you (and no she's not got a bust of your visage on a leash, 'kay?).
