I discovered this album sometime in October 2023 and wish I hadn't. As much as it has given me joy, it's been almost 11 months and Take Your Time plays in my mind the ENTIRE day. I'm not sure how to get rid of it as it's as though it's forcefully replaying and the more I don't listen to it, the more it replays and replays to a point it gets irritating. Not sure if any of you have the same issue, but please let me know how to fix this
Right away the cover grabs you by the lapels and shakes you insistently, then the tunes start to slap you until you're seeing stars (and hearing Sparks, way back there, beguiling and as insubstantial as ectoplasm). Like the sweet breeze that pushes you along the sidewalk and lifts the skirt of that pretty girl walking ahead of you (and no she's not got a bust of your visage on a leash, 'kay?).

This album takes me to my college days in 2011. The Gambler still brings tears to my eyes.
And suddenly I feel incredibly old thinking about my first college days in 2011 as being "taken back to", oh man.
I was going into my senior years of high school when this album came out and I became obsessed with it. One of the best pop albums ever made
