Love my Evo 3.0! Ordered the Padre earlier today, can't wait. Love that it's affordable. The Evo is a grail for me, so I don't carry it often. Think the Padre will be a user! I have a Kunwu in Vanex, the Tao S. Very nice steel with good heat treat. Thanks for showing it!
Recently got a Left Handed Padre extremely pleased with it very high quality knife for the money. Kunwu does an excellent job on their heat treats for the money destroys my Evo 2
Got the Padre and was immediatly bitten by it trying to drop just it on my thumbnail LMAO. So def too much of a large blade with a belly for me to do that but amazing knive with an awesome look
I freaking love how this one looks but I had an opportunity to get the Ram lock stitch and chose it. I’m hoping this one sticks around so I can get it later
If we’re comparing Vanax to M390/20CV/204P, than yes, it IS a superior steel. In 3 of the 4 main knife properties! Vanax has better toughness, better corrosion resistance, and it’s easier to sharpen. The M390/20CV/204P group of steels have superior edge retention. However, Vanax is no slouch in that category as well, having similar edge retention to S35VN/S45VN. Vanax is extremely hard to come by and expensive, which is the main reason why EVERYONE is praising Kunwu! The fact that Kunwu has managed to achieve a proper heat treat (Vanax is tricky to HT), produce great build quality, and maintain a more affordable product is astounding. Personally, I think Vanax should replace M390/20CV/204P or become more popular among premium knives. Regardless, I still LOVE the EVO models from CKF/Rotten Designs. Hopefully I can own one in the near future!

I think the Evo is a superior knife, but bang-for-buck goes to the Padre for sure
Absolute banger of a knife! 😉👌
Absolutely agree!
Great video Marco! I have a few Kunwu knives. I’ve had my eye on the Padre as well but I recently attained a long time Grail so I’ll have to wait. Lol
I heard rumblings about you obtaining a grail. Heard it from a fairly reliable source
@@KnivesoftheRoundTable 🤣
Both made in China, the Padre outperforms the Evo. Especially for the price.
I agree that the value is with the Padre for sure. Although both are made in China I do believe the Evo has better fit and finish and action.
@@KnivesoftheRoundTable as an lefty I might have to snag one of the next run they make, also think it will be in S90V 👌🏼

It is such a cool knife and decent price to boot!

Love the Stitch but I think the Ramlock needs some work. I tried it on the MSI. But the Padre is very much worth chasing
Slightly better action vs better performing steel. And it’s half the price? Why would I even bother with the Evo?
Not even sure the steel is better. Vanax is a great steel. I do believe the Evo is better, just not 350 dollars better.
