I think the best strategy for pvp on hardcore, is to gather in 3-4, reach 1 character 80-100 level, quickly pump the rest of their characters in dungeons in a group and start terrorizing the server. In case you die, you will have spare characters.
I'm not a 100% sure, but the way Fields of Hatred works is that you have level brackets, as far as I can tell from my experience in softcore pvp. I believe them to be something like 1-29 / 30-49 / 50-69 and so on... So I'm not too worried about higher level players.
