It never ceases to amaze me how you have the most unique fills I've ever heard, and you never repeat yourself and just throw in all these insane fills everything from small stuff to insanely intricate stuff that usually ramps up along with the song to time with an insane ending. I'm not even a drummer and I can appreciate the technique, it just blows my mind

I wanted to take a second to say how impressed I am by how you seem to have a deep, deep understanding of what every little decision is going to sound like and how it will contribute to the immediate moment as well as how it fits into the overall forward movement of the song. It's almost like being able to travel in time and see perspectives on every part of the song. I wish I had that to the level you seem to. BTW, I found you through Joshua Crawford's review channel.

Dude ... I am a bass player of nearly 40 years. Got a "house kit" for my music room recently ... stumbled onto your video with Jared on making a cheap kit sound good ... followed your advice (which worked-it sounds pretty great!) ... and then found this video of yours first. This dude is so fluid and smooth. The drums are an extension of himself. It’s spectacular. To hear music the way he does with his skills must be amazing. Playing drums is as easy as breathing for him. Cobus, you’re incredible.

I really appreciate your drumming. We drummers tend to get very technical and minimalistic that we forget to have fun whilst playing.

Love the Cobus style. When and if I start drumming, I will try to incorporate a lot of this style: very fun, well thought out, interesting and complex but doesn’t take away from the song. It actually serves the song.

It's great to hear this cover again but sincerely the past version was better for me, in this cover we can see more technique in his fills but I wanted to see a cover more fresh with the spirit of Cobus in 2008.
