One of the reasons I started making drumming videos in the first place many years ago, was to SEE myself play and to be able to track my progress. What does my technique look like? Am I hunched over, or relaxed? To this day I still think that recording yourself playing drums is an incredibly valuable educational tool, it helps you see and hear things you'd never otherwise see or hear. That said, when I started prepping songs for the new series I thought it might be really cool to re-do one of my first ever covers, mostly to see the difference in creative approach and technique, and man oh MAN has that been the case! It's been so rad to watch the videos back to back and see the difference in approach now, feels a bit nostalgic, actually! Thanks so much for being part of this crazy journey, and especially to so many of you who have been around for so many years.

The zen-like control Cobus Potgieter has around his kit is inspiring. Fun and playful style as usual and massive amounts of control and precision here. Also, I think it's pretty clever that he returned to do a cover of a track that helped him get crazy amount of exposure back in the day.

Very AWESOME you redone this cover to see your progress from a long time ago. I do the same. Video recording yourself is important for progress. I done it cause I was I'll for like 10 years and got back on the drums after ten years and I decided to use RUclips as a tool to monitor my progress. Awesome my friend.

Compared to your past cover of this.. now it seemed that you focused more in making the cover cleaner.. in a sense that you didn't flail your arms a lot now than back then.. the fills are better.. and there is this sense of control now.. I'm glad you're back though! Keep It up! God Bless!!
