After watching, that all makes a lot of sense, because when things don't add up, follow the money. As a American viewer though, it's frustrating to see this in the context of how they've treated Andretti's possible entry behind closed doors. I supposed a guaranteed loss is a bigger motivator than a potential gain.

I was loving the video until you claim that Ricciardo was "the big loser in all of this". As if Ricciardo hasn't being outdriven by Tsunoda for example, or Carlos Sainz, for example... Ricciardo has been underperforming for the last 4 years. He is not a serious contender for Red bull, if he was, he would have the seat. Sorry, but just pointing out bias.
Ricciardo was absolutely the biggest loser though. Pretty much all pundits agree that he was the most pragmatic choice (although not necessarily deserving), and the assumption amongst most legit F1 journalists was that he would be going in to that seat. Yes tsunoda has shown he has the speed and lawson perhaps would be a good choice just because it would be like what mclaren has going on with them only having really driven one car, but Ricciardo was apparently the one promised the seat based on reports that came directly out of the verstappen camp. She's not saying he deserved it just that he was the one who had the rug pulled out from under him.
