Yes, it kind of works like an alternator. I rarely have to charge the battery lol

Do those screws/bolts need loctite? They look they would back out with vibration

Do you still need to use the primerbulb? 9r do you just turn the engine over sto start?

Just turn it over to start. These engines don’t need a primer bulb that I know of.

Man that salt water is eating that mud motor up. Hopefully you will get a few more years out of it. Salt water is no joke.

Yes indeed bro. That’s the only downfall to those kits. But it definitely served it’s purpose on the water so I can’t complain!

Did you have trouble starting on the water or just added it for convenience

I had no trouble starting it on the water. Technically you can’t start the motor with the prop in the water even if you used the pull string. But it was definitely worth the money! I definitely added it for the convenience. Only time I had issues starting was when it’s really cold outside lol.
