I like second swing's demo process. Try what you want. No pressure. Utilize a staff member in sales or fitter to dial in a custom fit. Most amount of headcovers of any golf store. Easy return policy or trade for credit or mailed check. How can you lose? Will continue to recommend SS for golf equipment buying to others.
I think I want to upgrade my 718 AP1s to something newer with not as much offset. I play 5-G and want same setup but I currently have R flex and want to go to S flex. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!
I’ve never really found that game-improvement and players irons differ all that much in the way of “workability.” If you can control the clubface, you can hit draws, fades, and flighted shots with either category iron. What I think separates the two the most is rather how draw-biased game-improvement irons are, which usually comes from the significant amount of offset they have. Better players tend to have a hook miss, and offset just screams “This is going left” to us. I’d consider gaming game-improvement irons as a 6 handicap, but until someone makes a set with only minimal offset I never will.

Get fit. Great concise explanation. Cheers.
That’s the easy answer!
Do you guys do blended sets?
We do! We can order them custom through our fittings, or we have hundreds of combo sets in our used inventory.

I think in the coming months I’m just going to bite the bullet and get fit for an entire new bag at 2nd swing for next season
Yea I have an old bag at home too. : )
Iron shaft weight is just as important as flex huge difference from a 85 gram to 130
