It was mentioned in a recent creator commentary that the reason they had Vegeta's insults to Cell in this episode be so lame is because they felt that Vegeta would be so high on his own hype here that he would want to see if he could get a rise out of Cell with bottom of the barrel material.
Like, I accept that as a reason behind the writing, but the idea doesn't come across well on its own.

I thought it was because Vegeta was so overzealous here that he didn’t even care what half baked insult he threw out - he was just eager to fight & get started

these last dozen episodes really do a lot of heavy lifting. this series was truly a work of art. everything from the ki-ko-ho to the very end is a 10/10
You can only kidnap your own kid if you do not have legal guardianship to take them somewhere.
Goku is a full custody parent, since he is still married to chi-chi and unfortunately she did not have Goku clinically declared incompetent... so Goku did nothing legally wrong.

i guess it depends where you are from.
because in a lot of places it would be legally iffy.
it is correct he can take gohan somewhere.
but since both parents have full custody he also has to give chichi access to her son.
putting gohan somewhere for an extended time (depending on how you look at it) where his mother has no access (or her not knowing where the child is) would be illegal.
this happens a lot btw: parents “kidnapping” their own kids from a parent they share custody with. And it IS often grounds for legal action.

@@TheVergile All very true, but to the Authorities, Gohan and Goku were gone for ~36 hours. Chi Chi knows Gohan is with Goku. She could argue that Gohan is in danger, but he kinda is the danger.
She'd also have to convince them that her husband is an alien with super human powers taking their son to fight a bio-cyborg.
Also I don't think laws apply to people who can walk through jail bars like they were pool noodles.

This is a completely normal and legal parenting disagreement... nothing illegal until later when goku spoilers chi chi through a spoiler and says 'dont be like that, be a pal'.

The Tri-Beam 'turning triangles into squares' turned into a running joke on TFS' Xenoverse, every time they used it they called the move "Advanced Geometry"
That's also literally what one of the voices calls it, instead of Neo Tri Beam. I don't remember which number it is, but it's literally Takahata doing his Nappa voice, so a lot of his lines are very silly.

The return of the I need an adult joke was perfect and Vegeta vs Semi Perfect Cell is one of my favorites he has so many great lines. Also cracked up at the part where Vegeta said the armors were a better creation than Trunks 😂

You two should watch high guardian spice abridged. It took a trash show and made it something enjoyable. I'm not saying it's like top tier etc but its fun and silly and has characters that feel like people not cardboard cut outs.
