How has SOCIAL MEDIA changed Jiujitsu?
I asked this SAME QUESTION to many of the best Jiujitsu athletes and influencers in the world and they all had a different take.
This is part one featuring Eddie Bravo, Roger Gracie, Craig Jones, Vagner Rocha, Lachlan Giles, Ffion Davies, Suga Sean O' Malley, Tim Welch, Mason Fowler, Robert Degle, Dante Leon, Nathan Orchard, Nic Gregoriades, Mike Palladino & Vlad Koulikov.
In this video we get a look at how social media has helped the sport of Jiujitsu grow at an incredible rate. Because of RUclips, Instagram and Facebook, athletes are now able to learn Jiujitsu much faster. They can also post their own BJJ and grappling instructional content, jiujitsu breakdown videos and their own highlight videos. This helps them to get more recognition and exposure which leads to more sponsors and more money.
Part Two will be coming next month which looks at the NEGATIVE IMPACT of SOCIAL MEDIA on Jiujitsu.

We are at a point now where it is all just noise. Quality may have risen, but the ultimate value has decreased.
What do you mean by the value decreasing ?
Here's the thing though, white belts trying advanced techniques is not necessarily a good way to learn. I liken this to watching kids skating nowadays. They can do advanced flip tricks etc., but you look at them and they are fumbling around on the board when they land and possibly don't even know how to do a clean 5-0. You look at the way someone just pushes on a board and you know they know how to balance, shift weight, etc..
