    Thank you for a detailed video. Im pretty fresh in this. How do you drag and drop without adding a slate material on it? because ive rewatched it 3-4 times, i dont see you doing anything. dragging it just from the image viewer to the plane?

    when i scale it scales the hole plane not just the image on the plane to fit the plane. How does that work?

      You would have to just search for it as I don't own it so can't really hand it out. It is the mercedes-benz-amg-sls-2011

    When I drag the image via the UVW Map onto the plane, the image is not visible in the viewports (I have to create a texture and apply it to the plane to be able to see the image on the plane). I have searched and searched and can't find any info in this. I assume it's just a keystroke, but I be darned if can find it. Any insights on this? Once I do my work-around, I don't see the image on the reverse side of the sideview plane. Could these two issues be connected?

    • @paulneale

      I don't know what you mean by "drag the image via the UVW Map onto the plane" ??

    • @vernpenrod7578
      @vernpenrod7578 11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the quick response! At 10:25 in this video, you drag the image of the car blueprint from your image viewer onto the plane. When I do that, the image does not show on the plane in the viewport. So I have to create a texture in the Material Editor, and make it viewable and then place it onto the plane. @@paulneale

      @@vernpenrod7578 I assume your is in shaded view? What version of Max are you in? When you drag and drop it on the plane does it create a material? Check by using the eye dropper tool in slate.

    Zmodeler2 blueprint, it's very easy
    1. Photo Editor on Mobile
    2. Crop then saves from front, side, top, rear view
    3. Export from Mobile to PC

    This is very useful to a complete 3DS Max beginner, having gained a little proficiency on Blender. I was progressing until 10:55 when I couldn't scale the bitmap. It was imported using Drag and Drop. The units were set to millimetres in all 4 viewports. Any ideas how? I am still attempting on a trial and error basis.
