@@jeremypayne2040 I disagree. With every Bond actor, we’ve always had men that were of an above average height and physique but each other them brought something different to the table. We’ve never had a 007 that was as physically imposing as Cavill. That would be interesting to see, plus he’s just above 6 feet, so it’s not that much of a difference in height. I’d like to see it cause if 007 were real, he’d surely be more physically like Cavill than Connery.

I still enjoying R rated action flicks with much tension, gunshots firing a lot, music scores playing while the hero’s or a villain (Mel Gibson’s Payback 1999) shooting a lot to a very end with a smile from my face. Sorry, Joker for the pun. 😂 I think this movie has potential but not as classic as much great R rating movies I seen so far since Die Hard, the Terminator, Aliens, the Rock, Face/Off, etc. Guy Ritchie just pull it off in filmmaking. Like Corey says: it’s a Pulp War Flick. It’s a low FULL PRICE! Film for something that war flicks should make
to eliminate Nazis since Call of Duty games. Great review.

Quite something that Guy Ritchie has pumped out 6 movies (Aladdin, The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man, 'Guy Ritchie's The Covenant', Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre & The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare) & The Gentlemen spin-off show in the last 5yrs! The U Boats were actually terrors of the Atlantic Ocean from 1939 to 1943. After some where around mid 1943. The allies had advanced technology (such as radar on ships, and the real killer of U Boats. The Hedgehog launcher. Which could launch a small form of a depth charge from any part of the ship. Where as the old style of depth charge had to roll off the rear of the ship.)
Historically speaking, the U.S. Government was more than interested in helping Europe against Nazi Germany. However the U.S. Public wanted nothing do with the War in Europe.
The U.S. government had to pass the Lend Lease Act (March 11 1941) in order to help out the Allies.
In 1942 the German U Boats were off the east Coast of the United States and in the gulf of Mexico. Blow up shipping right off the coast of the United States.

If you love action/adventure/ war/ or movies bad in history you will love this movie, but if you want a in-depth movie it’s not for you. The characters are real people, the mission to destroy German U-boats was true but it did not happen in the way the movie makes it out to be. There was no [overt] violence, just wits and subterfuge to outsmart the Nazis. All the action stuff is the fluff and fiction

I'm getting a little tired of the humorous gratuitous violence and over the top insanity from these guy Ritchie movies. When I got done with gentlemen show I felt like I was watching a reskin of every other guy Ritchie product but with the chat gpt prompt: write me a script for a show that is a British godfather but made by guy Ritchie. A film should never be that predictable.
