The Happily Ever After chapter is so good man. The Smitten somehow becoming part of the setting, The Narrator slowly realizing that being handed 'eternal bliss' is a terrible fate, and the brief but real moment between you and The Princess dancing under the stars. I could cry man.
I was crying the first time I saw that chapter, and I still had tears in my eyes when I watched it this time around. When I buy this game, I might not do that chapter all that often -- I'll probably prefer to just let the Damsel out the first time around -- but I'll still do it.
honestly, that route and the Thorn route really brought me to tears. Prisoner/Cage and Nightmare route are also very good! Part of me wants to leave with the Shifting Mound, but I think the TRUE ending is having Hero take you back to the beginning, where the Princess and you reset everything to try again OR walk out of the cabin together.
I love how, after completing the Happily Ever After route, you can confront The Narrator about the previous Narrator realizing that eternal bliss is actually hell. And he just chocks it up as his echo being delusional. But you can tell it surprised him, that he was even able to think that. Which means he knew it was right, to an extent. Too bad he got obliterated. I would love to see what the last chat with The Princess looks like if you get The Princess and The Dragon ending first!
I don't think it meant he knew the other was one right, just that he probably had doubts. And had we been able to press him on this, he'd just be like "You know what? Do whatever! Slay the princess, don't slay her, I don't care! Just don't ever try to tell me what to think! This conversation is over, goodbye!" Then he'd destroy himself purely out of spite.
I played the Princess and the Dragon too and I loved it, though I didn't attack the Princess prior to letting her possess me and trying to slay her, so she was gentler. Hands down my new favorite route.
I'm stuck with no computer for now. Thank you for uploading this video showing the new additions. Great routes you chose. This game will never cease to make me emotional.
I’ve recently started playing Slay the Princess, it’s impacted me on the level that Nier and God of War has,so I’ll be enjoying playing all your videos as I 100 percent it :))
Those are the routes that I have chosen for myself as well. Also I did it in specific order with headcanon: The Stranger, The Princess and Dragon, The Thorn, The Cage and Happily Ever After.
The only real quibble I have with your play through is that I believe the Spectre route should've been done earlier instead of at the very end. Other than that, really good job.
@@sniezeksniezkowaty6719 i think so, yeah. There are three brand new chapters, a new ending, also three existent chapters got massive updates. Plus, it's always more fun to play and make choices yourself instead of just watching (in my opinion).
@@cavlanmavlan Alright, I was debating if I should buy it, especially since its on a discount, tysm for help, though I'll have to pass on watching ur videos about it haha
Those are also my favorite routes, though I wouldn't take the Stranger route first. Maybe 'The Princess and the Dragon'. I honestly find the idea of the 'Stranger Princess' being still linked to the Shifting Mound a bit... unsettling? Maybe?
Unsettling? It's awesome. It's the best of both worlds. You get to leave as mortals but also still as gods. You're accepting every single parts of yourselves, even the ones you don't like, if there are any.

Getting PATD first wouldn't change the last chat as it's based on the chapter 2 and not the chapter 3.
RIP Abby Howard's hands, for drawing all those chains with pencil and paper.
Can we take a second to appreciate the level of effort in all of The Narrator's sighs?
You have *very* good taste, these all happen to be my favorite routes too, haha!
What a coincidence, they All are my fav routes too. :)
Cause you both are together yeah same 😔

Amazing taste in chapters! I love each and every chapter in Slay the Princess, even before and after the pristine cut
I was at the edge of my seat with the “Happily Ever After” chapter.

What about Apotheosis or Fury or Den? They have happy endings too. But that's just my preference. Yours is good too. 😁
😭, this is so beautiful, god i wanna cry
That final was beautiful
So good to hear Jonny Sim's voice again.
fantastic
These are my favorites too except you missed the Razor
@@ivanything1016 if there were a 6th cycle i would definitely include razor
Great set of routes

Yeah. I think everyone involved with making the game have basically recommended finishing with Happily Ever After.
What's wrong with doing spectre at the very end?
@@HyperZergling I mean there's nothing wrong with it, it's just their personal taste. But I can see why.
Happily Ever After just feels more final
Good taste
Are you me? These are literally my favourite routes too
What's even better in this game is that the only thing better then screwing princess in the end is "screwing" Narattor😂😂😂
you think the game is worth buying even if I watched everything before "The Pristine Cut" update? I'm talking about the amount of new stuff

That Cage chapter... are we the Thorn?
No, we're clearly Damsel
We're more like Thorn in Princess and the Dragon
