You made it the most popular show, you added extra shows for the young kids (Sarah Jane) and another show for the older viewers (torchwood) Since then we’ve kinda ran it into the ground by supplanting good complex writing into overly simplistic and condescending political campaigning. RTD has always been woke. Cassandra from series 1 was trans and Captain Jack was bisexual. It just wasn't the current thing to obsess over it back then
