Yup, if he wasn't already running his Hydro Vartan setup, I'd definitely keep this on Canopus. Really liking it on Azelstan at the moment, just because he's usually already in the thick of it to pick the right target.
@@CoffeePotato Its a solid weapon for non magic users too, my Buccaneers did some fantastic numbers when they had them. But with those extra few magic points, plus Vertan class do get magic bonus unlike other fist users. Just get a lvl5 wind winged from Phorampa, raise as Vertan, easy replacement for Canopus if you give him a different role.
These Talons are the perfect weapon for Xapan in his initial Berserk class. His element is also wind…so as the Talons…this makes him a good damage dealer quite early. The spear is water elemental…quite difficult for useful usage…there are no good water Rune Fencers, except you make one. …but still a strong weapon. The Dagger is a good combat weapon for Lindl…both have lightning element and the stats of this weapon fits his needs. Overall worth the effort 👍🏻
They don't always have to match, it depends. The weapons take over as a decent elemental half bonus of their own, but the first two definitely want to match, just for magic bonus reasons. I've tried using the Canine as an offhand for dual wield setups, and it's solid as an occasional lightweight damage boost against water. I prefer the idea of it being the prototype elemental dagger the other craftables are based on.
I just got through most of my second runs in the shrines. The fists with summon 2 are the best for sure, I didnt find a second weapon or armour in fire shrine or ice, and missing earth apoc 2. I actually love Tlalocs Bolt on my first valk (chloe, water) her stats are very meh but the range on tlaloc bolt being 2-3 is SO good. stick her right behind a white/terror knight and you have such a good front line, with tons of support spells / healing and the ability to double counter attack spear users that go for double hit on your knight and valk. the tlaloc is great for flexibility and i think the best designed of the shrine weapons. again i only found nathalork mail from earth shrine, and nothing from fire ice.
Yes! Dual wield Xol-K9's on my Main "Big D" as a brand new Buccaneer. 2x 22rt + Speedstar, Hard-Hitting Double Attack, K9's Lit paired with "Big D"s Lit affinity + ... (Sidhe, Wingring, +Luck ring... etc) Pretty Beefy at this point b4 I finish the game for 1st time /Chaotic. . All I'd need is a breached pot maybe... hehe
They certainly do the job, it's just kind of odd in context. Like how the stronger Fang is far easier to get, with more features. Both will kill stuff, it's just funny to ponder the value discrepancy of them all.
honestly if/when we get mods for reborn, i hope we get weapon rebalances. like all the cudgels from the elemental rods and after getting different spells, and malitza's being the MP charge stick like it was on the PSP. also yeah Xolotl's and Tlaloc's being meh in comparison to vaineteya's talons is odd as all hell: ok weapon, ok weapon..... weapon with a cast of one of the best air spells in the game, logic.
I'm sure we'll see that. Matsuno games are just like that balance, though. It's not about multiplayer balance, it's about story telling. Like how the man made weapons cost more than relics, because their value is understood by the locals. Or how the Canine can be seen as a prototype to the craftables, since you're able to get orbs by processing a dragon into meat and a soul orb...just like the Canine's description. I'd like the staves to have had something different too, but it's really nice to see wizards boosting beasts and stuff. Damage wise the cudgel category is already cracked for damage if used right, so I'd leave that there.
The canine alone convinced me to do a second run of the fortress, but when I got to the boss room, the was no boss. I'm on the LUCT version for PPSSPP. Help? ;-;
I need help from a legend. I am on coda but, for some reason the temples are locked. I did all the prerequisites as I already did the air temple but the rest is locked even though Olivia is alive

The fist is the best, excellent choice for Vertans, because it gives a free lvl2 wind summon.

the claws makes me want artwork of canopus sweeping down with claws
Makes me think of the Vyrewatch from RuneScape

Because of how the RN looks in the font, basically an M, everyone here calls the holy lance the "Come lick'em" instead of the Corne Licorne.
Assault popsicle 🤣

Can you equip the dagger in one hand and a cudgel onthe second hand of a mage? Would you get the +5 range bonus from the cudgel that way?
Range bonus only applies in the main hand.

The Boss is a random spawn in the PSP version for some reason.

You only unlock what's already been cleared in Chapter 4.
Figured, but when I go to the forts they no cutscene that shows they are open, or how to go into the temple
