After saving Duchess and the kittens from Edgar, Thomas O'Malley became stepfather to the three kittens and Scat Cat and his gang of alley cats (who assisted Thomas O'Malley in the aforementioned heroic act) became part of the group. I assume that after inheriting Madame Bonfamille's money, Duchess and the kittens regenerated the money from all the performances done by Scat Cat and his gang of alley cats. I like to assume Thomas O'Malley got a new gig as a magician with acts in which he made Duchess disappear, and that Duchess has said "I LOVE getting made disappear."
