    Nonsense, painful and tight muscles are due to WEAKNESS , strengthen them for long lasting relief, not temporary relief , I experienced this the hard way over the years

    • @TrainandMassage
      @TrainandMassage  2 месяца назад +1

      lol. no. Tight muscles make weak muscles. Tight muscles can also be weak but that doesn't mean they are not tight. Cant strengthen a muscle if its tight (unless you want to wait for 6-12 months)

    • @HN-Anonymous
      @HN-Anonymous 2 месяца назад

      @@TrainandMassage check out MSK Neurology channel, yes it can take months if not a year to rehab super weak and atrophied muscles, but that is exactly the point here, many therapists are only concerned about quick relief without any consideration for long term, stretching and massaging weak and tight muscles provides quick relief but it’s a vicious cycle that keeps repeating and makes the muscle weaker, I have personally experienced this and so have many people I know, strengthening slowly is the way to go.

      Can you explain why not?

    • @PB78341
      @PB78341 Год назад +1

      @@TrainandMassagepain means weak. Massaging/stretching a weak or damaged muscle makes things worse. The key is to STRENGTHEN the muscle not ‘’release’’ or stretch it.

    • @av619
      @av619 Год назад +2

      @@PB78341 lol, sounds like you only looked at exercises. The muscles weak because the other muscle is tight. When you have forward head posture, you’re not training the scm, you’re releasing it while you’re training the deep cervical flexors.
      A strong muscle prevents pain. It doesn’t cause it

    • @PB78341
      @PB78341 Год назад

      The muscle is weak because the muscle is weak. So strengthen it! The other side is just compensating and you can ‘’release’’ it all you like but it will just return to being tight unless you strengthen the weak side. The tight side will release itself once they are balanced again. I don’t think you understood my comment.

    • @TrainandMassage
      @TrainandMassage  Год назад +3

      @@PB78341 You dont understand. The muscles weak because the other muscles tight. Theres a reason why its always the same muscles "weak". Yes, you can strengthen it and it might help after doing it for months. But it will become weak once again if you dont release the tighter muscles.
      you use the tighter muscle daily, which is how it got tight. Without releasing this first, it will get tight again. With that said, yes, you have to train the weaker muscles, but only after releasing the tight muscles first.
      Youre missing half the picture. The other half that will help you get results faster and keep the results longer. Theres also plenty of studies showing massage plus exercise is superior to exercise alone, and some that show massage is better in certain situations.
