lol yeah its pretty weird but lore wise it kind of makes sense since Drake's NP is her ship (which is her rider "mount") while Alter's NP is not the horse, but her lance.
The only proper lancer.
I mean the only reason the class is called Lancer is because Lancer sounds cooler than "Spearer"

There are two *BIG* reasons why Arty Lancer Alter is so good
1. Good NP damage and rather short NP animation for farming
2. High critical damage skill on demand

My main Lancer on JP. She is definitely amazing and deals good damage.

Her and her normal version are built fairly diffferently and I like it a lot. More difference than you get between saber and salter. Arty lancer is more of an NP spammer and maybe not like a main tank, but a good off-tank. Then lancer alter is built to just fucking destroy but needs more babysitting

In REAL life you use a lance on a horse. Spears are what everyone else uses.

When you’re new to the game and debating between your first pick Lartoria and how badly you need a Saber which my other choice is Salter. Getting that SR ticket and having to wait a few days from today seemed bad, but I did a roll and pulled her twice! Now I can happily go with Saber Alter unless she pops up with Merlin. In which case then I can look at an Archer lol

What sucks is she got unlocked in the story gatcha only, so you can't kill 2 birds with one stone by rolling the Mordred banner and have a chance to get her. I recommend waiting till Camelot to roll for her, she has her rate up then.

Neothetruth You unlock her by finishing London, but only on the story banner. The Camelot singularity is after the America singularity, so that's around 6 months. That is if we follow the pattern they are on.

Arturia grew up because of not having Caliburn/Avalon in the lore preceding her Lancer version.
Since Caliburn and Avalon stopped her aging, by the time she was 30 she still looked like she was 14. When she lost them, she grew up naturally again, so Arturia Lancer is basically proper adult Arturia.
Ken Reyes Rhongomyniad had the same immortality benefits as Excalibur, with some changes. The Holy Spear was a genuine divine artifact, so exposure to it would eventually ascend the weilder to divinity.

I'm lacking 4 star lancers in my roster, so I'm glad that she's pretty good since I like her design-wise. Will try to roll a few multis on her rate up.

True, Cu is special, but I just want moar lancers (one of my favorite classes).
i wish they looked more into 3 kingdoms era China for figures, i mean so far we only got 2, Lu Bu and Zhuge Liang. pretty sure Guan Yu and Zhao Yun would make good Lancer candiates.
and although we have like 6 figures from the Sengoku Jidai period, the most famous id say of them is Oda Nobunaga. with only 1 being a Lancer, 3* Houzouin Inshun, whos somehow in the same tier as Cu among the 3*s. they can easily add in Yukimura Sanada or Honda Tadakatsu as Lancer candidates.
Exactly what I wanted to hear. She is pretty much the best 4* Lancer until that summer event rolled around with Lancer Raikou. Even then she's pretty much tied with Lancer Raikou for best 4* Lancer it's just a decision if you want an AOE or ST NP.
CPU Zaffre (Praixz Zer0) I consider Raikou to still be the better lancer.
1. Better NP gain by a large margin. Like seriously, her arts card is as good as KH, just slap her arts card onto the end of the chain and watch it give you half your gauge. Raikou AQQ gives 31%, Lalter only 22%. What's more Raikou also generates 5 more stars on AQQ than Lalter (16 vs 11).
2.Better Charisma
20% vs 12%
Raikou's charisma also gives star gen buff while she's at it.
3. Targetable Buster buff.
Raikou's buster buff is 15 % weaker than Lalter with 40% but is targetable and comes with debuff cleanse(which is like really freaking useful) Prana burst A+ is really nice and all, but Raikou's buffs are much more support oriented.
4. Better overcharge effect on NP. Raikou straight up just gives 20 stars afterwards, and the fact she has a crit skill in her kit as well doesn't hurt.
Curse is chip damage, pretty negligible and NP seal is not reliable enough on Lalter 's NP.

actually Lalter and mama raikou hav same tier lvl. btw Lalter hav 55% Mana Burst A+ not to mention her Protection of the world end A is giving her crit dmg 50% and free 10 crit star ALSO its AOE NP. in fact i would love if mama Raikou together with Lalter.

Besides waifu reasons, is mhx good? I'm waiting for the rest of the buster meme team of alter jeanne and merlin since I already got a Waver but do you know what good uses mhx has? Inb4 someone bitches about people wanting to use the meme team when the game isn't even pvp, so it doesn't affect them. I also got a jack recently so I don't know if another assassin would be good unless mhx has a different use when compared to jack.
Spiderdude93 if you have Jack then, from what I've heard, MHX is pretty obsolete. She's mostly geared towards beating saber enemies, even more for saberfaces, but her HP and attack is the exact same as Jacks, and her star generation isn't as good
tl;dr she's lackluster, but you can work with her, I just really like her and MHXA

Had the chance to get her during 10M DL giveaway but her chicken legs really scared me off (so i picked another pair of jugs Gorgon)... her saber version is much cuter anyway(and i rolled her on the same rate-up)
PS: I have not checked out most of your other spotlights videos(including this one) because I do not have those servants yet, so I cannot give my piece of comment, but I do look forward to see all of them because I want to have all the Servants(except Columbus which is the only one servant that I hate - for story, lore, art, animation..., but I won't mind seeing a video about him from you, just to see your reviews on his in game abilities).

I managed to pull Tesla as soon as the second London rate up banner went live but after re watching both spotlights I knew I needed to get Lalter and I did luckily. Now comes the ascension XP grind. A very good Christmas from FGO for me.
I was ready to spend all of my saved up quartz on her. But it was unneeded as she came to on my 4th roll. She's been by my side wrecking everything ever since.
Honestly I didn't expect her to be that good. Hadn't looked into her that much. Great spotlight.
Sounds pretty darn awesome though and certainly willing to let someone outside of Cu compete for that Lancer spot.
Can't wait to have her with the free SR ticket coming this month.

I'm grinding all the interludes and Free Quests in preparation for her banner. Sitting on 119 rocks right now, plus another 23 in fragments. With any luck, I'll have 150 by the time it rolls around, and I'll probably buy more if that doesn't cut it. She is one of two reasons I'm playing this game. The other is the non-Alter version, who comes out after Camelot. Good to know that she rocks. I mean I've already got Shishou, but I do need me an AOE Lancer. So don't you dare spook me, Liz.
Gacha has been too kind to me today. I got her on the first 10-pull. Took her all the way up to 80 and 5/5/5. Now I dunno what I'm gonna do with these extra 120 rocks... Save them up for Camelot, I guess.

I am the guy who had both Salter and Lalter in my JP account and i highly recommend if u roll for her, u aim for NP 2. She can farm extremely well, a bit worse than salter in terms of neutral but not by a far margain. She has the best crit skill in the game as stated in the video and crits like a beast. She works extremely well with merlin and waver(if u NA than Waver, Hans), and HP doesnt matter that much anyways. If u face a hard boss and u have 3 lalter card which is B,A,B and no NP, you can just use your mana burst there because she isn't that reliant on the NP as her crit sometimes deal even more damage than it even with her NP 2. If u have her, you don't really need to roll for any other gold lancer as she is sufficent enough. Highly recommend grailing her to 90 if u in it for gameplay. Waifu purpose, just look at her chest ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Who can resist such thing

I got her when you was on a rate up compmetely random, I was just like "Yeah whatever let's go for a gacha today" and then she popped out and I had no idea what she could do... She and Altera (by whom I gor also spooked on a random summon ticket) have carried me through the entire game since. She's just insanely strong :D

Now... if only I could get Saber Alter, then my dream team of Arturia Lancer Alter, Saber Alter, and Santa Alter would be complete.

Congrats to you too. Now the only issue is getting enough Meteor Horseshoes to ascend her. The only place to get them is murder on your AP due to it's low drop rate.
Ouch. That's pretty tough. Hope you get those shoes! I had just enough to get her up, and now she's wreaking havoc at Grail 90 and Max Fous! The crit skill is no joke when you've got a 2030 and a Friend Waver. :D
Before I have Lancer Alter, I have been using both of the Cu, Hektor, Diarmund and Leonidas if not Berserkers against Archers. As my first SR lancer, She performs well as a crit focus servant that even our damages her own NP.

So you're telling me her beautiful mountains aren't able to protect her at all? That sounds bullshit and oh yeah Arthur Lancer....... that's something that surprise me. A path where the Fate Stay Night icon decides to pick up a spear instead of a sword as well as to certain quote-unquote ballistics...... I am terrible but can you blame me? The altar version makes it even worse because she's both evil and sexy. Dammit Arthur Lancer stop being sexy.
I want her so baaaddd in JP. In 10M free servant event, I want to pick her initially, but since I don't have any Avenger, I picked Gorgon instead.

I didn’t know we she would be coming so soon, but It’s cool. I’ve been wanting a gold lancer and she’s just what I’ve been looking for. I don’t want to go too wild on her banner cause I really want to roll for Jalter and Nero Bride to a smaller degree but It’d be awesome if I could snag her.

I find Mordred adorably cute at times and I do like her tomboyish personality. But she isn't that high on the my Saberface waifu list, heck she's dead last. I'll wail in despair if she spooks me on any banner with a version of Artoria Pendragon or other Saberfaces on rate-up

Thanks lol, and she won't be as bad later because even as an AoE she does a ton of damage since ehr attack is so high and her mana burst skill. She won't outdamge Jalter or most other ST servants but with someone like Merlin or Waver or Bride supporting her she can put out some crazy damage
When I rolled for Merlin earlier this year, I got her 4 times instead of that certain caster and saber I was hoping for.
I know I should be happy that i have her NP5, but...

He'd be the best Saber in the game if he had a taunt skill, and his base attack isn't sooo bad either, also against Dragon Trait servants he's just too damn good

Already have Scathach NP2 and both Cus maxed out + Liz Lancer, but after this video i'm probably going to try at least a 10x if i can get enough Quartz, that aside i didn't get Mordred and at the moment Saber Lilly continues as my main Saber, maybe i should just spent everything on trying to get Mordred...
