Playing drums and watching youtube drum videos introduced me to Richard, who introduced me to Jordan, who introduced me to Tom Misch, who introduced me to Haitus Kaiyote. All legendary minds and I'm grateful to be alive in time to listen to The Lung
The Lung!! I was well in to Haitus Kaiyote and went to see them play which introduced me to Jordan who was supporting them (spaven wasn't on that bill though.).
Damn…. These homies are legit amazing. Richard is just phenomenal. I hope I can see these guys live one day. Love all the way from the 520 in Arizona, USA.
Ive heard the name but never seen the man work.... If i only had one word to summarise it would be: tight. Figuratively, colloquially and all other aspects of the word... Dude is a pro, no question about it! Thanx boiler room!!
The way he gives it up to Hip Hop DNB and the club scene... Richard Spaven is one of my top 5 favorite of all time... The Amen Break... GC Coleman yes lord!!!
Right. Also are those overheads in the mix? or is the room just that bad? or any drum mics? I can't trust my ears because I've been awake for fucking aaaagggess
I didn't realized how much DnB meant to me in the 90s, coz I liked plenty of other stuff (RIP Cobain, still haven't gotten over that...). But listening to his stuff turned me back to Roni Size, Goldie, sweaty clubs I shouldn't have been in at 16 - all that good stuff. Loving rediscovering the vibe through this guy 25 years later. ruclips.net/video/y1tXv4fPtmI/видео.html
Can somebody tell me the name of the artist that he mentions in the minute 20:54? I has repeat that part several times but still I’m unnable to get it jajaja I’m from México and my english si not the best Also I want to say that this is by far one of the best live performances that i hace ever seen. Damn, this dude is a master for real
