Lovely video, and impeccable timing as I've recently replaced the expansion reservoir as it did have a crack in the rear. And now the car is leaking less coolant, but it's still leaking some around the thermostat housing. I was concerned about the last hose in the back, good to see here that you can pull the housing forward to get to the fastening clip. Cheers, this helped a lot, was considering having my mechanic do the installation, but I'm sure I'll manage :) Unfortunate for you about the fan. Looking forward to the next videos!
@@yuckybear5026 I got it fixed! In the end it wasn't too difficult. The only bit I really struggled with were the metal clips, and especially the one on the hose in the back that connects to the radiator. And getting it off is easier than getting it back on. But I managed! Once you get a good grip on it isn't difficult, getting a good grip on it is exactly that though. Cooling system sorted, thanks!
Thankyou sir, my thermostathousing is leaking for 1 years i fill it evry morning if the coolant drops to low. the mechanics here in netherlands asking 200+ euro to change. and i see thermostathousong included sensor is 45 euro on internet. i want to try to change but never have work on a car. is it simply to change or should i better save money and go to mechanic.
Thanks for sharing the costs. Regarding the repair, the decision is yours. In my opinion if you’re happier to pay for the garage, then that would be best.
Thank you for this video! I just needed it for my moms car 😄
Glad it was helpful!
