Guys, please wear certified protective masks when exploring the Marsiling bunker. The strong smell of oil which greeted them within is actually stale Jet Fuel or Kerosene which can be toxic. I have worked in military fuelling operations and fuel depots for the Air Force before so I am quite familiar with the whiff of Jet Fuel. The familiarity of the stench actually caught me by surprise when I last explored there with a group. Feeling suspicious, I did some research and found out that the bunkers was a fuel reserve depot built in 1942 for the British Royal Air Force. That said, it was interesting to see how they designed the structures for Jet Fuel depots back in the War days as compared to today with regards to my occupation.
This refugee camp is accessible through View Road, off Admiralty Road West. It is on the left after the left bend (after entering View Road) and before the entrance to the old View Road Hospital. The big tree on the right at the apex of the bend was also the site of several hangings.
Another interesting view from OGS about Singapore! Would definitely love to join on these tours someday. Not to undermine editors/producer creative direction but I thought that there was some attempt to make these places feel "haunted" or "creepy" - especially the intro. Thought that it would be better to set a tone that "demystify" these places rather than make it scary! Though I have to admit the "creepy" tone in the intro kind of made me watch this video because I am a sucker for supernatural stuff 😂
As someone who has recently been receiving an influx of Urban exploring shorts and videos by 2swag productions and TPUrbex on my youtube FYP, the moment i saw her standing in that muddy water during the intro, my brain immediately went "BRAIN EATING AMOEBA-"
The Vietnamese refugees landed on Bedok Jetty during the’70s and were housed in tents on the barren newly reclaimed land near the jetty before housing them in Hawkins camp.
What’s the white fur like spiky thing growing on the rusted metal that they shouted don’t touch don’t touch adamantly? 😰😱 (Asking in case I slipped and accidentally land my hand there)

I stay nearby here, it was my playground and use to visit this camp. There a vacant hospital just nearby up the hill.
Thanks for the interesting tour. Looking forward to more.

For safety reasons, avoid inhaling or touching unknown mold spores. You never know how they might affect your body.
