If you didn't know who Stevie Williams was, you'd have thought that HE played in this tournament and HE won it. That's how much of an "me me me" interview this was. Pretty disturbing to be honest.
Golfers actually rely on their caddies for advice on basically every shit especially when you get to the PGA level so it’s more important than you think but Stevie is for sure a tool
caddying's tougher than you think, you have to read the greens, calculate the yardage, check the wind, check the pin placement, check distances to bunkers & waters & boundaries, tell the player what type of shot to hit (i.e. draw, fade, straight, low, high, punch, control) find the landing point on chips and pitches, etc. it's a pretty tough gig, show the man some love
I've watched this a couple times, and it gets wierder and wierder! He asks him about Scott, and all he can do is talk about himself, and his racing, and how confident HE is. I think it would be classic if Scott fired him now because of that interview.

Maybe if you asked Jack or Tiger, their favourite major victory, I’m sure they could name one that sticks out as their favourite. If you caddy like I do, you would know that some people actually listen to their caddies and that caddies actually give them shots to play that will shave off a 6-8 strokes. They memorize the course and the breaks on the greens and also watch for inconsistencies in your swing, in which they provide information to fix your swing. If you never had a caddy then you probably can only afford the golf cart golf courses.

A caddy does'nt hit the golf shots but their advice can have an enormous affect on where the ball ends up, a good caddy deserves his fair due in the credit stakes imho...

It was the pinnacle of sport; Tiger was a God on the golf course in his prime. Man the things he did, under that pressure, defied belief. Steve has every right to be pissed, he stuck with Tiger through thick and thin, and then he was dropped like a sack of sh#t when Tiger made his way back to the game. So, this is sour grapes, but... I don't hold it against him. Steve's a very competent athlete in his own right; huge competitive motivation, and very good at what he does, I don't begrudge him a few Tiger slights, but to say that was the best win of his career... no, that's definitely not correct.

I'm not trying to pick sides here, but I'd be willing to bet 99.99999% of the people making comments on here have no idea what they're talking about. There are good caddies, and there are bad caddies, then there are professional caddies that can make the difference between winning major's. I think Stevie has proved that he is one of the best caddies ever.
