Good food? Would you eat it? The food thrown was so bad that the judges refused to taste it. Please get your facts right. Another point is to look at the amount of food the contestants throw away, Gordon Ramsey goes mad over the expensive waste.

If anyone bothered to watch any other versions of Master Chef (ie - Australia or Canada) you’ll quickly realize that the majority of the American seasons are incredibly, heavily scripted & staged for that shock value and entertainment over actual cooking or educational content. Not really breaking news though imo
I don’t know enough about Joe to fully criticize the way he acts, but tbh, even after seeing his “worst” it really just seems like a villain persona for television, he’s obviously the antagonist, and if you fully impress him, then it’s a big accomplishment, everytime he tastes a dish, it adds tension for the audience. I don’t see him as a genuine ahole, but people can have their own beliefs and opinions, I just don’t really think there’s much controversy behind him.
afaik people dislike him because he has no merit behind his villain persona. like we fear gustavo fring in breaking bad because of what hes capable of and what hes done, hence the respect he is given/demands. Joe on the other hand, hes talked about his experience in his familys restaurant (that if i remember correctly didnt even have a michelin star nor was locally famous when he was getting his restaurant experience, i am aware it got famous LATER due to his mother rather than him), and he was not even the best cook, he was like a host/waiter. and when it comes to restaurants that he owns and has prestige, its mostly him co-owning and being on the finance/business side of it rather than the in-house. so a man with no cooking merit (or at least not as big as the other judges) but being the meanest? thats wild. however thats not to say he doesnt raise a lot of good points in episodes, its just his 0-100 goes over the top sometimes

I've only binged watched MC recently, & skipped most of it and could not tell what was more unappetizing the show or the food. MKR was just much better, actual real food, while on master chef, 90% of the food I've seen on this show looked like dogshit presented nicely, and also reeking of complete elitism. Every time they said "overcooked", I just cringed because half the shit they got is imo undercooked or raw that they praised, I would've never eaten their 10/10 or food they praised to the skys. Raw and rubbish. Poop on a plate nicely presented, that's the whole show summarized. Would not pay 1 cent for it.
I'm far from a fan of the guy, but this ain't it. From what I've heard, he's far from an awful singer, not an incredible singer, but that Billy Joel cover sounded pretty good and actually pretty similar to Billy himself.
