  • When you want to labor at home for as long as possible you want to know this strategy. In early labor it is important to conserve your energy and getting good rest is important. Creating a nest for rest is my strategy for setting yourself up with a restful environment to labor in. With a nest for rest you should be able to sleep or rest in between contractions when labor is still early.

I would like to share my experience with my first born. I started my labour at night, around 10.00pm. I remember asking my husband to massage my back. I was on my left side sleeping the whole night, and I would remind him to keep on rubbing my back. I wasn't sure I was in labour.I woke up at around 8.00am and was now aware that I was going to be in labour. I headed to the hospital and when I got there at around 11.00am, I was already 8cm dilated 😊❤. This was so motivating and my son arrived at 3.00pm the same day. You've made me realize its important to rest in early labour. Thanks

My daughter rested all throughout the day during early labour in 2021. Got to the hospital when the contractions were strong and 5 minutes apart. by the time she was at the hospital, she was 8cm dilated and almost ready for active labour.

Hoping to be able to rest/sleep this time around despite knowing more symptoms suggesting it's likely time!
