    Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Loved seeing the family who took you in when you were in need. My father traveled the world as a news correspondent for ABC and when I decided to move away from the States and live in Japan he gave some advice that I've kept with me all these years: No matter where you are, you will find that the vast majority of the people will do everything they can to help you when you are in need. It doesn't matter where you're from, what you believe in, etc. If you need help, people will help. It's nice to see his words ringing true in Peru as well. A wonderful moment of kindness and compassion.

28:16 - another adventure and another bout of Kara feeling badly. It’s times like these when I’d like for her to read comments like these: that no matter how many times she falls or busts some equipment. She always gets right back up and doesn’t quit. Adventure after adventure, there’s Kara getting pumped and psyching herself for the journey ahead. I absolutely love that spirit! It make you see and experience so much more of life than just quitting. You are an inspiration!

During my travels many years ago, I also ended up sleeping in a bed in a kitchen...in Hungary. But it was a very boring kitchen. No guinea pigs, no dance parties, and no mama coming in at dawn to chop wood. Little did I know what I was missing.

I have always admired Kara (and Nate, of course) for how you try new things with such a bright perspective. Going through this year asking myself, "What would Kara do?" Over the past few years, I have watched all of your adventures and been inspired to do and see more in my lifetime. Also, FWIW, in all the Spanish-speaking countries I've visited, saying 'no meat' is usually interpreted as no red meat or no cow meat. If you do want to try to eat vegetarian, you gotta specify no meat, no chicken, no cuy, no fish, etc.

Make more of these adventure videos please!

Kara and Nate, I have always loved your videos but this one is absolutely amazing! It is crazy the amount of things you experience and it is very eye-opening. I love that you guys are raw with your emotions and show the crazy adventures you go on. Thank you for showing different cultures around the world for those who may not be able to experience that. This was beautiful to watch!

"you think I'm crazy don't you ... maybe I am" 🤣🤣 I can't tell you how many times I felt that in my travels ... especially backpacking through South America with minimal Spanish. It's all part of making the greatest memories though!

You are both so respectful of other cultures, races, poorer families, children and animals. Just simple kindness keeps you safe. The support you give each other no matter what is wonderful to see.
I think your tandem bicycle ride was easier. Stay safe and keep your spirits up. All of America needs to see the way you treat the life you live and the unconditional respect for all peoples.

YES. These are the Kara and Nate I have been missing! Silly fun showing the not always photogenic sides of a country with an activity that everyday Joe & Jane can see themselves doing, instead of first class, champagne, yachts, million dollar camper vans and the likes (not like they haven't earned it!). I miss van life a little 😆

I'm confused why this adventure costs £1400 per person, plus £300 deposit. A week rental for those bikes shouldn't cost that much and there is no support or even a map during the ride. What does the money go to? So for an "adventure anyone can do", it's pretty expensive, since you still need to pay for food, accomodations, fuel, and likely the international travel.

This has to be the craziest thing I’ve ever watched you all do I think. And I’ve been watching you all for years now, constantly being blown away by your adventurous spirits and exuberance for life. Your passion and kindness and determination has taken you all so far. You all inspire me so much but this whole video had me so nervous for you lol. You all are brave crazy which is not to be confused with crazy crazy. I would have been too terrified to ever even attempt this but if I did I would have definitely been helpless panic crying in the fetal position within the first 3 minutes of your video, maybe around the second or third obstacle within your first day. You all are amazing!!💜

Similar colors and style with the way the belly is done, but It's not the Buc-ee's Beaver onesie Nate bought. That has a wide flat tail (like a Beaver, of course, lol), a red shirt that doesn't detach, and a different face/head with Buck teeth dangling off the front. But I did think that was what they had on at first when I saw it on their Instagram account a long while back till Kara showed it off better!

As an experienced motorcyclist, I have to say: you did surprisingly well for your first time! If riding monkey bikes hasn't completely scared you away from two-wheeled transportation, there are some really cool trips you can do on (full-sized, reliable, comfortable) dirt bikes. A little bit of training will go a LONG way toward making you more comfortable. In the States, I'd suggest you hook-up with Rich Oliver's Mystery School. You could probably get Rich to teach you some basic mechanical skills as well as how to ride a dirt bike. Rich and his wife Karin are terrific people and I think you'd really enjoy meeting them!

You’re doing great, and who cares if you aren’t. You’re still trying your best. Love ya enough to tell you to be kinder to yourself! I also love how you interact with strangers! 💗💗💗
