@B Bennett I think that's why they hired all those managers. But that being said, it is really up to the owners to be the managers no matter what. I personally think some of this has to be fake. Particularly the policy of not serving the Japanese food above. That makes no sense. And with an obvious camera crew and a VIP (the chef) its an automatic, whatever the fuck you want you get.
Maybe it's because I'm American. But you literally would have to be coached to say "No" on almost anything ordered so long it's not illegal or demeaning and as long a its available: You do whatever they ask.
And a policy like that would probably be ignored anyway. At the least people, would ask why is that a rule? Maybe its for a better view, better experience with the food or whatever, then it would just be suggested they might want to try it in the other place. The other thing is to play off the "you're getting something special" motif... "Oh we normally serve sushi in the sushi lounge only, but we can always make an exception." It's the: we're bending the rules just for you experience.
I really think that part was fake. It's to over the top obvious. Just get him his freaking order.

@@disco1446 the American series isn't exactly scripted, but definitely over exaggerated. Often times people are told when to act up and get crazy, Ramsay is also told to be way more Harsh but in extremely hilarious ways. The production team even takes the dialogue from a part of a episode in the making, and can edit they're own sentences using the actors voices, often times they do this just to make scenes more interesting

I lived over there they would show the Osbornes during the day and every second word out of their mouths was a swear word so all u would hear was beep beep beep beep jack beep beep beep Sharon beep beep beep
It’s a much better system over here some thoughts go into it,we show family friendly before 9 and anything goes after 9,some shows like this can be shown before 9 with the swearing beeped out as it’s still watcherball but we wouldn’t be that stupid to show the Osborne during the day as that would be un watcherball

Stuart was one of the best chefs to ever appear on a KN episode by far.
To clarify some earlier comments. Stuart does not have a michelin star, he has 2 AA rosettes. He has worked at restaurants that have earned a michelin star, if the chef that earns you a michelin star leaves, the restaurant still keeps that star even if they no longer have a michelin star chef (there's a restaurant in Wales featured in another KN episode where they have a michelin star but the chef who had got them it had left), providing they can maintain the same standards (most can't - hence why they usually replace like-for-like).

Gordon got on really well with him cos Stuart is a good laugh. He's the sort of guy that could go out for a drink with anybody and have a great eventful night.

He's not Scottish xD He's from a place in England called Newcastle, they have quite a unique accent, and people from Newcastle are called 'Geordies'., so in UK we'd call it a geordie accent...Liverpool is scouser, Birmingham is brummy, south Londoner is cockney etc etc

      It must be a privilege / a
Pleasure to work with such an experienced chef. And after interfacing with Chef Ramsay, not a bad experience at all.

@laing jay why would someone dox themselves? Any asshole in the comments could/ would start calling the restaurant and harassing the business. Visit and make for a drama filled mess. He could potentially endanger his and the other gentleman's job releasing said information. Use your head mate... No sense in calling him a liar.

I'm American and from what I see that passes for entertain on television is drama, foul language, sex, and more drama. It's ridiculous! They're right, Gordon's American version is screaming, swearing, ego, and drama. I don't watch the American one's, too much arrogance from the owners. But then, my Nana was English, and we've always preferred British programming so I may be biased.

Gordon has a rare talent. Most people would have responded to the mature French matron trying to steal him back across the ocean with humor, some would have taken her by the hand, a select few would have picked her up. But it takes a special man to fireman carry that woman into the sea. Then slam a 60-70 (who knows she French, she could be 120 or 44) into the sea face first over his rear end.
