- I decided to live in a cave for an entire week and this is exactly how it went! It was a little different and the people I played with along the way made it a much more enjoyable experience. Especially the friendly player I met...who changed the whole idea of this video! Enjoy :)

Never played dayz as its seems to complicated for my busy life to get into but I love how it's played and the stories it's players tell.

nah its not hard, really. Just fire it up 1 evening and ull see. there are also pvE only servers. just use dayz commander or if u want to hit ppl hard just go online in nights
Nah man play a heavy modded server and poke around. Its awesome
Started off loading up Dayz Server onto my laptop & learnt most things playing solo. Helped a great deal on the PVE & building side but only practice will help with PVP.
Always brilliant seeing a new character come into the mix. Good to see Oggy again as well. Would really like some more of Jason if its at all possible.
Potentially, I have some ideas that could get him involved

Its good in pve mode.. but pvp is full of hackers. Like seriously.. on my server I'm playing on there are 5 daylie bans of some cheaters

Don’t listen to that guy saying hackers I’ve never ran into one they’re very rare tbh and if you play on a private server they get banned pretty fucking quick
You have to find modded servers or custom ones because out of my experience I starve to death looting every building in a city only to find like 5 T shirts and some boots

This was quite entertaining to watch, I noticed that the only times the algorithm puts DayZ videos up for me, they're always amazing to watch and have that documentary feeling to them. I normally don't watch long videos but this was definitely worth the watch, good work!

I was in that YEET group. We were maxed but they guy Jason remembered each called HEADLEVEL. I wasn’t on at the time but yeah I know those guys. We lost 2 ghost hawks including the one Jason shot down and we lost a Chinook we stole.

@@spit8437 our group fell apart probably whilst this video was being recorded. There was a disagreement between group members on progressing things so half of the group left and quit DayZ for a bit and the other half tried to tank it out with just 4 to 5 of them max and eventually they just gave up. Now everyone went back to how it was before we all met except one of the 2 from my group now doesn’t talk to us and joined the father yeet guys group where the then moved off the the hideout and me and the last guy in my group made “Gravy Gang” on the Fallen VI US1 so that’s what happened

This is definitely a game I wouldn’t play but I love watching I’m not a fan of the base grinding and survival aspect but watching people that love it and are good at it is awesome love the content

I haven't played a FPG since Doom in the early 90's but like the look of DayZ so willing to give it a try. Don't even have a gaming computer so will have to save up and buy one. Plan to get a mid range setup, something like a fully expanded Asus TUF Dash F15. That'll allow 2K at over 60fps. Then want to start in a vanilla server with minimum mods, no cash, just survival for a few years in RL to get used to it. Video's like this really bring people back to gaming and make it look worthwhile, so I thank you for that.

Either that was some grade A acting or you can actually hear the relief in Jason's voice that he finally has a safe place to call home.
Again, it could just be a good act, but I can 100% understand the pain of just barely scraping by and having nowhere to actually feel safe. That was probably two weeks of getting merked and respawning with basically no hold-over gear to make life easier.

Built a cave base on Tak i really like. Entrance is corridor with 4 doors leading to a floor hatch.
Floor hatch enters a room with 4 other doors 2 being false with wall behind 1 to construction room.
The 4th door enters a corridor with 4 more doors the last opening into the cave itself.
Above the first floor is the actual base with a hidden door out of sight.
Access to this door forces players tightly against the base and the cave rocks.
These walls have windows and peeks as the players are forced into a single file line to get by them.
If one manages to get buy the hidden entrance door forces you to crawl into it.
I believe crawling is a defendable position for enemy players not a forced animation.
Crawling into the doorway presents very clean head shots if they're not smart, peek aiming while in crawl position going into it is the only not so safe way.
The upstairs is just typical base, safe room and usual security.

I know that feeling of Jason being from the US and working nights, most of my dayz friends list consists of peeps from the European time zones, Denmark, Britton, Bosnia, Germany, but some of the best people I played with 10/10
