I have watched a lot of anime including the top ones but still Fairy Tail is my favourite anime of all time I know it has its flaws but it's just so enjoyable and fun to watch
It's not my favorite ever (12th on my list) but it's a pretty good anime and it feels like people went in to it with their minds already made up on hating it.
I'm always thinking; Did the people complaining about Fairy Tail even watch the show in the first place? Like completely, the entire anime? And their hatred is based on knowledge. Or is it more likely that most of the people complaining just didn't give Fairy Tail a REAL chance and only watched part of it, if any? Anyway I'm glad to see people like you giving FT the chance it needs and being open minded about it.
I love fairytail, but you can't really get upset with the people who didn't watch the entire show before hating on it. I mean if you really disliked a show, why would you continue to watch over 300 episodes of it
So personally. Fairy Tail holds a special place in my heart cause it’s what got me into more anime and into trying to write my own fantasy world story. And it was one of many that me and my ex girlfriend shared a love for. However. On the other hand. It works as a good starter anime. Just get you introduced to magic, generic characters, overwhelming odds and bad guys lose while hood guys save day. But for me the ending is still the most frustrating ending I’ve ever read. I was deeply disappointed. The fact that by the end there really were no consequences for anyone. It was a major turn off for me as a reader and watcher. But still I don’t rag it too hard. I still recommend it as a good starter anime to get you introduced. It’s up to you if you wanna finish it or find something else. It’s fairly decent and does have a lot of heart.
Zeref's ending was weird, but good. I really liked how they did it (although I was surprised to hell that we never actually saw Zeref fight Etherious Natsu Dragneel himself. Acnologia on the other hand... *bleh*. Wasted character.
It's really awesome to see people defending Fairy Tail for once. This was the first anime I ever watched as well as completed, and I had an absolutely amazing time. Fairy Tail became a comfort for me because the guild gave me a place where I feel like I could belong, and make true friends since I don't have many myself; it showed me that even the weaker ones of the bunch can become strong; and it gave me so much joy watching it with it's charm, humor, and banger music. What's even better about this is I got to watch this whole thing with my dad. It made me so happy to see that we both enjoyed the anime, and it became so special that we started watching more anime afterwards and we each got a tattoo of the Fairy Tail guild's mark. Even though we completed Fairy Tail a few years ago and we no longer watch anime together, it's still an experience I love to look back on. Do I know about the flaws? Yes. Does every anime and every type of media have it's flaws? Also yes, and Fairy Tail shouldn't be bashed this much from them because it doesn't completely ruin the anime. Anyway, I've ranted for long enough. This is a really good first video that you should be proud of, and you've definitely earned a subscription from me :)
I love fairy tail, the character and specially the story, the 777 plot and how it connect is so good, but the thing that I really hate is how they execute the fight to defeat the enemy, of course they should and will defeat the enemy eventually but I hate how they just suddenlly one shoted it after a couple of talking.
I definitely agree. If you look at the show from the eyes of a critic... You'll probably hate it. Cuz there are issues with the plot and the fight scenes. But you really shouldn't do that. Enjoy this anime, let the Fairy Tail family suck you in until every time you watch an episode you'll feel like one of the guild members. Ome of the family members. This is the true brilliance of the show
Exactly!! Not every piece of art needs to be heavily criticized. Just let people enjoy a harmless, inspiring show for once without throwing it under the lens.
Yes!!!! You really have to put yourself in place as one of the guild. The anime is pretty tropey if you look at it from a checklist perspective, but if you actually relax and take a more laidback approach to it, and hell, maybe even think back on your own friends and your relationships with them, it feels way more comfortable and genuine than you'd expect
@Ultimate Sora thats not true. theres wayyyy more issues in fight scenes in this show than any other shonen. There are still good moments, but after a while, it's honestly just not as hype anymore.
Ok News flash others enjoy analyzing narratives and measure their worth by pointing out their major flaws if they heavily effect the story or not Not everyone turns off their brains to enjoy mediocrity That's why fairytail failed if it's fans undermine it's core values because "you're not supposed to think" argument

Our boy has come such a long way, from not knowing what fairy tails about to reacting to the whole show on his channel and being able to form his own opinion about it and not following hate bandwagons. From an editing standpoint and perspective, great video, if you plan on doing more of these kinds of videos on your channel, you're off to a good start with this one From the content in the video standpoint, yes I agreed with most of the things you said, very few things I disagreed with like you saying theres asspulls at times cuz I just don't think there's any, I know I might get clowned for this opinion but ay agree to disagree That aside, I also wish they did more with Lisanna, her and Romeo not getting enough screentime are probably my only problems with fairy tail, but 2 problems regarding side characters in a 328 episode long show is a really good record, it's why this is my favourite anime. Power of friendship in fairy tail can be described as this In a world where magic his fueled by emotion and belief then in that same world believing in your friends and family and wanting to protect your friends or family can draw forth strength And you can see that in the real world where people have gone through tough times such as war or one dude who got his hand stuck between a boulder and a cliff and manage to pull through
What I love most about the anime, is that despite us having our central main cast (Team Natsu), it still feels like the guild itself is the true main character of the story. And I'm all for the ride! Loved the vid, you've got a good style going! Keep it up :>
FINALLY, FAIRY TAIL RECOGNITION! Fairy tail was my entry into anime, and i will admit i am biased, but if it weren't for fairytail i probably wouldn't have gotten into many other shows that heavily inspired both my art and my writing, and i quite enjoy the friendship and found family message of the show 👆
I love fairy tail so much, and i never understood why it got so much hate. The music, the characters, the plot, the enemies, the relationships, the fighting and magic are all so interesting and draw me in every time I rewatch the show, I'm glad to know ppl defend it and still make content about how good it is!

I'm glad that there are steadily more people watching and forming opinions on FT. This the third youtuber I've seen that's actually talked about the show positively Ft was my first anime but it has always remained my fav. I always come back to it and get months long brain rot of just FT and nothing else. I mean my mascot's name was literally created based on my username that came from one of the characters of the show (Gajeel) that's how deep rooted my love for it is. I am aware of its flaws, especially now that I'm older and while there are things I complain about, I still enjoy the series as a whole. Now I can laugh at different things that I laughed at about a decade ago and get new enjoyment out of it.
Been rewatching this anime as of late, that which I watched as I was transitioning into a child into a teenager…. There’s a nostalgia I can”t describe without writing a pages-long essay, it almost feels like a longing for home…. Also, the characters extremely strong emphasis on friendship may have worked its way into my moral framework and the way I deal with today’s world 🤭😊
THIS!!!!! As someone who watched it in my early teens i totally agree! I love just the inside and personal perspective of it. The characters make you feel as if you've known them for a lifetime and i love it!

Thank you!! I'm only 200 episodes in but totally loving it. I love that all the characters are unique and once you get their backstory you realize there is actually a lot of depth to them. I also love that Fairy Tail makes you feel like you're part of their guild and one of them. And I have a hard time choosing a favorite character, I feel like they are all well written so far. And the plot is pretty good too I think, I love that things from the past eventually come full circle or something that did not make sense earlier eventually comes to light and was necessary for the plot later.
Definitely agree with you. Is it the best anime out there? No it's not. Is it a very solid shonen to have a fun time with? Absolutely! I don't understand the hate either. I think it was probably cool at the time to hate it and everybody who wanted to be egdy jumped onto the bandwagon. And now it's met with tremendous hate. Personally I think it's better than some of the recent hype anime like Chainsawman for example.
Fairy Tail has a special place in my heart, it was the anime that got me into anime. I know it's not perfect and there are some bad calls but every show has that and I'm just happy that the fan base is so awesome that we can laugh at the flaws and enjoy the show
My husband always makes fun of me for loving Fairy Tail and he's one of those ones that barely bothered to give it a chance. It will always be one of my favorites. Also I agree with you about the music so hard. I love the music in Fairy Tail. So many times it has given me the chills when placed so perfectly in a scene!

I started to watch fairy tail when I was 8 or 9 with my sister and dad so the anime has always had a special place in my heart, and even now I still occasionally go back to watch some of it. The story overall is amazing and easy to follow and has some heartbreaking moments but also heartwarming and wholesome ones too. It’s one of my favourite comfort anime’s due to my experience with it and I hope others are able to look past the bad reputation people give it and try watching it because its worth it.
The thing is, the power of friendship totally makes sense in a lore standpoint, since magic was created because of love in the first place, so friendship, aka love making their magic power stronger is factual in the origins of said magic power in the first place.

I also love the art improvement in the later seasons it’s just so good AND YES OMG I AGREE SM THE CHARACTERS ARE GOLDEN. I honestly love Lucy’s relationship. I legit cried when aquaries’s key broke. Fairy Tail is absolutely my favourite anime. Perhaps it's because it's the first anime I ever watched, and I watched it when I was young so it makes me nostalgic, but even watching it back so many years later it still makes me smile. Not necessarily for the plot (even though there are a lot of good arcs) but for the characters. It does have it's flaws but it's got a special place in my heart.

I heard people saying how rave master is better because of character's death and less fanservice But mashima explained why no one dies🤔 He wanted to create a light hearted happy show where loved one will not die as in rave master characters die which make story sad. He wanted to create story with characters enjoying their external adventure😜. That's fairy tail👆
I'm actually suprised that some people still watch fairy tail, as for me fairy tail is probably one of the best nostalgic anime you can rewatch, I've rewatched it like 7 times already and it never gets boring, the story, character development,feats, the main character (natsu), and the other characters. The Tartaros arc, Tenrou Island and the Zeref arc was probably one of the best arcs ever, the fight against acnologia, and the demon books of zeref. Literally perfect. I needed this types of video about fairy tail after seeing so many hates, i absolutely didn’t understand the hate it gets for well being just like any other anime out there. Fairy tail has some flaws just like other anime’s but is very enjoyable at the same time! And the anime conveys it’s message well and I think that’s what we should focus on more

A lot of the power of freindship moments in FT are honestly just normal or well done power ups that make a lot of sense but the character yells about friendship anyway. Except for Erza

When I started watching this anime it was fantastic because this anime is wonderful and I will never put it down. I liked the fights, funny moments and the mood it gives just by looking at it. I recommend it to everyone, I know there are many people who hate it, but to me and to many other people, this anime is amazing.👆👆

Fairy tail was my first anime now ives watched probably over 100+ and still fairy tail is my #1 best anime 1. It helps me when I'm sad or my mental health is getting bad 2. They feel like more of a family to me than my own 3. It's just amazing I've rewatched it 9 times and currently doing number 10

I wouldn't say the "power of friendship" is a bad plot device. Even in real life, armies are said get a boost from defending their homes, friends, and family versus just someone who is just being paid to fight. Also, in the lore of Fairy Tail later in the series, Mavis explains that love is the origin of magic, so why wouldn't the FT members get a boost magically thinking about their guildmates, who they consider family? Not saying FT doesn't have its weaknesses, but this isn't one of them.
Fairy Tail was by far my favourite anime for a long time. The last arc ruined a lot for me but other than that arc, the whole series is really solid. It’s got great characters, a really cool world, and an awesome combat system. Even though some characters like Natsu could’ve used some better character development, there’s tons who were written phenomenally like Laxus or Gajeel and a lack of development still doesn’t distract from the characters all being likeable and full of personality. Even minor members of the cast have their chances to show off. It’s been a long time since it ended but Fairy Tail is still one of my favourite series even if it’s not first anymore
i love fairy tail. I learned about it about 4-5 years ago and it was technically my first anime and I actually never finished it until a few months ago. And yeah through out those years i watched other anime’s but i always stuck with fairy tail and i think the reason why is because i was just able to correlate to my own life at times. And then a little bit after getting into fairy tail i learned that people really disliked it and to be honest and unironically i took that kinda personal. But i never let that change what i thought about it and still to this day it’s my favorite anime and literally nothing can change my mind, and i’ve probably seen every video explaining why fairy tail isn’t bad and I love all of them including this one. Also this was really well made and i’m definitely subscribing to see how far you’ll come!! 👆
It's about time I see a video like this. The amount of people that hate on this show, and most probably didn't even watch it. It has great characters, great storytelling and even has some of the best filler episodes I have ever seen (Like the Ichiya zombie episode) and is just such a fun watch. You have these people who call it the "friendship" anime and complain about it, yet Black Clover and Naruto is even worse when it comes to that, and nobody calls them out for it. They also talk about "plot convenience" when honestly, Fairy Tail has the least plot convenience of any major shounen anime.
For the answer as to why Lisanna was brought back is answered in an interview back in 2021 in which oda stated that Lisanna interested him and at that time relationships between characters interested him and his original plan was to make a love triangle between Lisanna, Lucy, and Natsu but he was afraid that his fans would hit him, I believe he meant to hate. So in the end he scrapped the idea. Also, Lisanna has done more than people think. When Lisanna returned Mira was more willing to fight and Elfman's personality challenged in other words with her return Elfman got character development. Elfman went from a scared boy who couldn't do a full takeover to a muscular man who constantly says manly and can do a full takeover. So there is your answer.
The reason why our perception of Fairy Tail has changed, is that back then, there was clearly better stuff than it. But as the years pass, and mangas get axed or anime adaptations fail expectations, we have come to the realization. You know what, sure its not One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto or Bleach, but its definitely better than a lot of the newer stuff.
Well, what I liked the most about Fairy Tail was: -The great magical games😀 -The arc of tartaros💀☠ -The war against the Valan alliance the few moments that really touched me, moments like: -Natsu vs gemma (the master of sabertooth)😀😀(Soundtrack) -Natsu vs. Sting and rogue😀(Soundtrack) -Natsu's defeat of acnologia with his attack + the 7 dragons mode👀 (Soundtrack) -Natsu transforms into a dragon and defeats the animu king (the Soundtrack) and also there are the Soundtracks: -Dragon vs dragon -Salamander -Raienryuu no hoeru -Three dragon -[final season 2020] fairy tail theme Soundtracks that are jewel Openings: -Masayume chansing -Strike back -Sense of wonder -Yume no chikara Endings: -Holy shine -Lonely person (I am downloading the caps where new op and end appear since it is difficult for me to find them as I want) Also for me the anime, the anime is not the problem, the problem is the people if they don't like it they don't see it... that problem is I have seen in my country creating a manga that will later be adapted to anime "it is not easy" and you don't have to be smart to know that🤨 there are also the animes eden's zero and rave master that together with fairy tail are like anime brothers (Right now I'm reading the manga and I don't see anything wrong with it either) Anyway... everyone with their tastes,Regards. :)
Fairy Tail is a really good anime but some other people just hate it bc of the animation but Fairy Tail is already perfect with its own animation idc even if it doesnt have that good animation as the other new animes, Fairy Tail is still one of my fav animes ever
Thank you for finally giving a fair opinion and not just reusing the same surface level criticizms. I find myself the anime has some flaws like I find the power of friendship too present compared to most animes and some fights are finished way too easily and quickly. Or the fan service which was a bit tiring at times but I also take it as a part of Fairy Tail anime's identity and fun But do I think it's complete trash just for that ? Of course not. People focus too much on the negatives just to have a good laugh and forget to stay objective and pointing at the positives. I admit I was a bit disappointed when they changed the animation studio after episode 175. I think the show lost in quality overall even though the art style was closer to the manga (I preferred the original anime art style) but the effects, lighting, musics weren't as good. As well as the fights which were longer before had way less animation after that. But still, I enjoyed the show on other aspects.
Fairy Tail fans can't just live in peace. We know there are flaws in the show, but it still connects with a lot of people. You don't have any control over what resonates with you. It does or doesn't. Just let me enjoy my all time favorite. Please and thank you
Fairy Tail is my personal favourite anime, it was one of the first ones I ever watched, and getting to see the amazing characters and friendships onscreen at a time in my life when I didn't really have any friends was a really special part of my life, it's so nostalgic for me looking back on those days when I came home from school everyday and watched fairy tail because I couldn't get enough of it
Fairy tail is a good anime also hero mashima is a legend mangaka He loves his fans and interacts with them, and I respect him and consider him a role model for me
Everyone understands the frustration with the fakeout deaths!! haha I think because Hiro made a promise his next story would have a happy ending after so many sad scenes and losses in Rave Master, he chose to play it safe in Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail was always a nice anime that makes you feel warm, it was actually the anime that made me realise that I love anime and it's always gonna be one of my favorites
Also frioendschip is an act and form of love...and what did we get to know? The primordial magic, the first form of magic emerged/is love. Layla Heartfilia stated this and Mavis even confirmed it when she told the story of her, Zeref and Fairy Heart. Also, in episode 7 i think Happy even stated thta emotions have impact on your magic, wich we see through the series. Basicaly...the POF is a variation of the primardial magic in a way. It does make sense. But people who watch Fairy Tail and hate it CLEARLY didn't pay ANY ATENTION. They keep giving 'POF and 'fancervice'. If any other anime had ir, it never get's mentioned...it's so hypocrite. 👆(btw i still want to find out if fairies do have tails tho hihi)

I don't get why people think Fairy Tail is a bad anime. The music is really good (I absolutely love the music), the epic fighting scenes and the backstories, the way the story is told- It's all so good! What is even beyond me is the constant comparison between Naruto, Fairy Tail and One Piece. I just love all three anime for how unique they are. I only got into One Piece recently, but I've been invested very quickly. And Fairy Tail was something I got quickly invested in, too, thanks to the story and the charme the characters had to me.

Zeref's ending was weird, but good. I really liked how they did it (although I was surprised to hell that we never actually saw Zeref fight Etherious Natsu Dragneel himself.

It's really awesome to see people defending Fairy Tail for once. This was the first anime I ever watched as well as completed, and I had an absolutely amazing time. Fairy Tail became a comfort for me because the guild gave me a place where I feel like I could belong, and make true friends since I don't have many myself; it showed me that even the weaker ones of the bunch can become strong; and it gave me so much joy watching it with it's charm, humor, and banger music. What's even better about this is I got to watch this whole thing with my dad. It made me so happy to see that we both enjoyed the anime, and it became so special that we started watching more anime afterwards and we each got a tattoo of the Fairy Tail guild's mark. Even though we completed Fairy Tail a few years ago and we no longer watch anime together, it's still an experience I love to look back on. Do I know about the flaws? Yes. Does every anime and every type of media have it's flaws? Also yes, and Fairy Tail shouldn't be bashed this much from them because it doesn't completely ruin the anime. Anyway, I've ranted for long enough. This is a really good first video that you should be proud of, and you've definitely earned a subscription from me :)
I love fairy tail, the character and specially the story, the 777 plot and how it connect is so good, but the thing that I really hate is how they execute the fight to defeat the enemy, of course they should and will defeat the enemy eventually but I hate how they just suddenlly one shoted it after a couple of talking.

I definitely agree. If you look at the show from the eyes of a critic... You'll probably hate it. Cuz there are issues with the plot and the fight scenes. But you really shouldn't do that. Enjoy this anime, let the Fairy Tail family suck you in until every time you watch an episode you'll feel like one of the guild members. Ome of the family members.

Yes!!!! You really have to put yourself in place as one of the guild. The anime is pretty tropey if you look at it from a checklist perspective, but if you actually relax and take a more laidback approach to it, and hell, maybe even think back on your own friends and your relationships with them, it feels way more comfortable and genuine than you'd expect
@Ultimate Sora thats not true. theres wayyyy more issues in fight scenes in this show than any other shonen. There are still good moments, but after a while, it's honestly just not as hype anymore.

Our boy has come such a long way, from not knowing what fairy tails about to reacting to the whole show on his channel and being able to form his own opinion about it and not following hate bandwagons. From an editing standpoint and perspective, great video, if you plan on doing more of these kinds of videos on your channel, you're off to a good start with this one
From the content in the video standpoint, yes I agreed with most of the things you said, very few things I disagreed with like you saying theres asspulls at times cuz I just don't think there's any, I know I might get clowned for this opinion but ay agree to disagree
That aside, I also wish they did more with Lisanna, her and Romeo not getting enough screentime are probably my only problems with fairy tail, but 2 problems regarding side characters in a 328 episode long show is a really good record, it's why this is my favourite anime.

In a world where magic his fueled by emotion and belief then in that same world believing in your friends and family and wanting to protect your friends or family can draw forth strength
And you can see that in the real world where people have gone through tough times such as war or one dude who got his hand stuck between a boulder and a cliff and manage to pull through

Fairy tail was my entry into anime, and i will admit i am biased, but if it weren't for fairytail i probably wouldn't have gotten into many other shows that heavily inspired both my art and my writing, and i quite enjoy the friendship and found family message of the show 👆

Ft was my first anime but it has always remained my fav. I always come back to it and get months long brain rot of just FT and nothing else. I mean my mascot's name was literally created based on my username that came from one of the characters of the show (Gajeel) that's how deep rooted my love for it is.
I am aware of its flaws, especially now that I'm older and while there are things I complain about, I still enjoy the series as a whole. Now I can laugh at different things that I laughed at about a decade ago and get new enjoyment out of it.
Been rewatching this anime as of late, that which I watched as I was transitioning into a child into a teenager…. There’s a nostalgia I can”t describe without writing a pages-long essay, it almost feels like a longing for home….
Also, the characters extremely strong emphasis on friendship may have worked its way into my moral framework and the way I deal with today’s world 🤭😊

Thank you!! I'm only 200 episodes in but totally loving it. I love that all the characters are unique and once you get their backstory you realize there is actually a lot of depth to them. I also love that Fairy Tail makes you feel like you're part of their guild and one of them. And I have a hard time choosing a favorite character, I feel like they are all well written so far. And the plot is pretty good too I think, I love that things from the past eventually come full circle or something that did not make sense earlier eventually comes to light and was necessary for the plot later.

Fairy Tail has a special place in my heart, it was the anime that got me into anime. I know it's not perfect and there are some bad calls but every show has that and I'm just happy that the fan base is so awesome that we can laugh at the flaws and enjoy the show

I started to watch fairy tail when I was 8 or 9 with my sister and dad so the anime has always had a special place in my heart, and even now I still occasionally go back to watch some of it. The story overall is amazing and easy to follow and has some heartbreaking moments but also heartwarming and wholesome ones too. It’s one of my favourite comfort anime’s due to my experience with it and I hope others are able to look past the bad reputation people give it and try watching it because its worth it.

The thing is, the power of friendship totally makes sense in a lore standpoint, since magic was created because of love in the first place, so friendship, aka love making their magic power stronger is factual in the origins of said magic power in the first place.

Fairy Tail is absolutely my favourite anime. Perhaps it's because it's the first anime I ever watched, and I watched it when I was young so it makes me nostalgic, but even watching it back so many years later it still makes me smile. Not necessarily for the plot (even though there are a lot of good arcs) but for the characters. It does have it's flaws but it's got a special place in my heart.

I'm actually suprised that some people still watch fairy tail, as for me fairy tail is probably one of the best nostalgic anime you can rewatch,
I've rewatched it like 7 times already and it never gets boring, the story, character development,feats, the main character (natsu), and the other characters.
The Tartaros arc, Tenrou Island and the Zeref arc was probably one of the best arcs ever, the fight against acnologia, and the demon books of zeref. Literally perfect.

I needed this types of video about fairy tail after seeing so many hates, i absolutely didn’t understand the hate it gets for well being just like any other anime out there. I wouldn't say the "power of friendship" is a bad plot device. Even in real life, armies are said get a boost from defending their homes, friends, and family versus just someone who is just being paid to fight. Also, in the lore of Fairy Tail later in the series, Mavis explains that love is the origin of magic, so why wouldn't the FT members get a boost magically thinking about their guildmates, who they consider family? Not saying FT doesn't have its weaknesses, but this isn't one of them.
Fairy Tail was by far my favourite anime for a long time. The last arc ruined a lot for me but other than that arc, the whole series is really solid. It’s got great characters, a really cool world, and an awesome combat system. Even though some characters like Natsu could’ve used some better character development, there’s tons who were written phenomenally like Laxus or Gajeel and a lack of development still doesn’t distract from the characters all being likeable and full of personality. Even minor members of the cast have their chances to show off. It’s been a long time since it ended but Fairy Tail is still one of my favourite series even if it’s not first anymore
i love fairy tail. I learned about it about 4-5 years ago and it was technically my first anime and I actually never finished it until a few months ago. And yeah through out those years i watched other anime’s but i always stuck with fairy tail and i think the reason why is because i was just able to correlate to my own life at times. And then a little bit after getting into fairy tail i learned that people really disliked it and to be honest and unironically i took that kinda personal. But i never let that change what i thought about it and still to this day it’s my favorite anime and literally nothing can change my mind, and i’ve probably seen every video explaining why fairy tail isn’t bad and I love all of them including this one. Also this was really well made and i’m definitely subscribing to see how far you’ll come!! 👆
It's about time I see a video like this. The amount of people that hate on this show, and most probably didn't even watch it. It has great characters, great storytelling and even has some of the best filler episodes I have ever seen (Like the Ichiya zombie episode) and is just such a fun watch. You have these people who call it the "friendship" anime and complain about it, yet Black Clover and Naruto is even worse when it comes to that, and nobody calls them out for it. They also talk about "plot convenience" when honestly, Fairy Tail has the least plot convenience of any major shounen anime.

For the answer as to why Lisanna was brought back is answered in an interview back in 2021 in which oda stated that Lisanna interested him and at that time relationships between characters interested him and his original plan was to make a love triangle between Lisanna, Lucy, and Natsu but he was afraid that his fans would hit him, I believe he meant to hate. So in the end he scrapped the idea. Also, Lisanna has done more than people think. When Lisanna returned Mira was more willing to fight and Elfman's personality challenged in other words with her return Elfman got character development.
Elfman went from a scared boy who couldn't do a full takeover to a muscular man who constantly says manly and can do a full takeover.
So there is your answer.
The reason why our perception of Fairy Tail has changed, is that back then, there was clearly better stuff than it. But as the years pass, and mangas get axed or anime adaptations fail expectations, we have come to the realization. You know what, sure its not One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto or Bleach, but its definitely better than a lot of the newer stuff.

Thank you for finally giving a fair opinion and not just reusing the same surface level criticizms. I find myself the anime has some flaws like I find the power of friendship too present compared to most animes and some fights are finished way too easily and quickly. Or the fan service which was a bit tiring at times but I also take it as a part of Fairy Tail anime's identity and fun But do I think it's complete trash just for that ? Of course not. People focus too much on the negatives just to have a good laugh and forget to stay objective and pointing at the positives. I admit I was a bit disappointed when they changed the animation studio after episode 175. I think the show lost in quality overall even though the art style was closer to the manga (I preferred the original anime art style) but the effects, lighting, musics weren't as good. As well as the fights which were longer before had way less animation after that. But still, I enjoyed the show on other aspects.
Fairy Tail fans can't just live in peace. We know there are flaws in the show, but it still connects with a lot of people. You don't have any control over what resonates with you. It does or doesn't. Just let me enjoy my all time favorite. Please and thank you
Fairy Tail is my personal favourite anime, it was one of the first ones I ever watched, and getting to see the amazing characters and friendships onscreen at a time in my life when I didn't really have any friends was a really special part of my life, it's so nostalgic for me looking back on those days when I came home from school everyday and watched fairy tail because I couldn't get enough of it

Fairy Tail was always a nice anime that makes you feel warm, it was actually the anime that made me realise that I love anime and it's always gonna be one of my favorites
Also frioendschip is an act and form of love...and what did we get to know? The primordial magic, the first form of magic emerged/is love. Layla Heartfilia stated this and Mavis even confirmed it when she told the story of her, Zeref and Fairy Heart. Also, in episode 7 i think Happy even stated thta emotions have impact on your magic, wich we see through the series. Basicaly...the POF is a variation of the primardial magic in a way. It does make sense. But people who watch Fairy Tail and hate it CLEARLY didn't pay ANY ATENTION. They keep giving 'POF and 'fancervice'. If any other anime had ir, it never get's mentioned...it's so hypocrite.

I don't get why people think Fairy Tail is a bad anime. The music is really good (I absolutely love the music), the epic fighting scenes and the backstories, the way the story is told- It's all so good! What is even beyond me is the constant comparison between Naruto, Fairy Tail and One Piece. I just love all three anime for how unique they are. I only got into One Piece recently, but I've been invested very quickly. And Fairy Tail was something I got quickly invested in, too, thanks to the story and the charme the characters had to me.
