Striders have by far the most impressive enemy/monster design that I've seen in my entire gaming life. I do feel astound by facing Myaverse creatures, but they pour a different vibe, more dreamish/nightmarish towards fantasy appreciation. This guy here seems real and threatening at first glance. Besides that I feel prety bad when taking one down thinking that it's just a living creature enslaved on a mechanical shell that otherwise could be docile on its original habitat.
Props to the medic standing right next to the car that gets blown up by a death ray from the Strider and going like, "A-ight, gonna fire my SMG at that thing."
Generally the more connected you are to the character, the more aligned you are to its scale. In a top down strategy game for example you dont get a sense of scale comparison as much as the first person games. Firstperson games commonly have less connection than standard VR and boneworks weirdness is so far the most connected I've seen with the body collisions and stuff

Something really bothers me at the fact these clips show them at the start as you'd expect, then jumps to Episode 1 and they're still like "uuu wut dat??? ;3" ...what.
The first scene is city 17 intro, where you are wandering without weapons or suit. The second scene is city 17 rebellion, later into the game where the city is fighting against the combine, still HL2, not HL2E1

Not many people have played Valve titles or played many Doom/Quake games, and are therefore not adjusted to Half-Life’s combat.
Half Life 2 VR is kinda lazy made. It still has the vanilla weapons and you can clearly see they are missing polygons on the right side. How lame.
