My last old video with second and last version of La Marseillaise.
Our three students (M, A, O), our three different symbols of France very accurately convey the spirit and problems of former and modern France.
Each of us can see a part of ourselves in these girls and in this school. Not only tanks, but a deep meaning is embedded in this anime. We will love you forever!
    Let Marseilles sound again loud!
May BC Freedom High School always be in our hearts!

Yah France likes Revolutions so much they would start Revolutions in Revolutions.

@@Harvirez In the cannon everyone in the show is Japanese. Not a single caricature of foreign allocation appear in the show to my knowing. (Except for the leader of the German faction who is half German, if I recall, but that doesn't really count,) The blond hair and blue eyes are some anime magic nonsense, (Unless the " French " are really, French? But I doubt it as someone would likely have brought that up to me over one of my many chats, arguments,) and a plot hole more than anything, but the world building is so bad it shouldn't come as a surprise.
But yes, the show is about racist Japanese girls who like playing dress up, but thanks to their poor understanding of the cultures they represent they end up just being wretched stereotypes.
If this was something the show leaned into, (Or recognized) I honestly think I'd be one of my favorite shows hands down, just for that genuinely brilliant idea alone. And would make all of the actually unbelievably terrible writing when it comes to the countries and their appearance, Doctorine, and personality that have the feeling of a child's understanding of the different countries make sense, and would be rather ingenious.
But alas, here we are no Frenchies no self awareness. All we have is a show that is rather offensive and doesn't even take the bare minimum respect for the dead it enriches itself upon, and that is why I despise this show. (Edit, and many other properties)
And yes, I have evolved over the past year. You may be informed just by my text compared but I will put it into simple terms here.
Oh yeah, and they based the French off of something that happened TWO CENTURIES before the war! Excuse me what! That's bloody unacceptable. Like all of French history boils down to one thing that happened, their time of tragedy, and that's all you think could possibly find interesting? Wow, that's a serious offense to French culture and history. You're basically punting away all the proud men who died in the second world war and went, "Naw lol. I don't know you and I don't care about you," like their history and legacy isn't worth being portrayed, no the murderous psychos of the Revelation! Now that's truely French. Bah! How about the French norm? Naw, has to be replaced with one of their darkest moments and made a joke. Implying that the French were dysfunctional idiots all the up until the second world war and during. God forbid you read a book on the topic!
That was a side tangent, but I find the treatment of the French worse then everyone else. Expesauly concidering the context. Real war isn't something you can just play sand castle with, it needs to be treated with respect, the bare minimum is required (Unless it's purely comedy, not a joke in the show but the show is a comedy show (Edited for further context)).
If you made it all the way through that angry rambling, good job. This is probably healthy for me so have this, 🍺
Edit: You'll need it. God's know I did.

The first time hearing this I am surprised to hear a similiarity with our very popular national patriotic song, "Dari sabang sampai merauke", especially in these parts :
0:06-0:14 : Dari saabang sampai meeerauke berjajar pulau-pulauuuu....
    1:35-1:46 : Dari saabang sampai meeerauke berjajar pulau-pulauuuu, sambung-menyambung....
    2:59-3:05 : Dari saabang sampai meeerauke berjajar pulau-pulauuuu, sambung-menyambung....
    then i learn that :
'' "La Marseillaise" is the national anthem of France. The song was written in 1792 by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle in Strasbourg after the declaration of war by France against Austria...''
''the French National Convention adopted it as the Republic's anthem in 1795...'' (Wikipedia)
May be "La Marseillaise" had inspired R. Soerarjo to write the song (now it is titled "Dari sabang sampai merauke") in 1942 during which the era of Japanese Imperalist occupied Dutch East Indies (1942-1945) (now Indonesia). Indonesian people was also struggling for Independence from Dutch colonist at the time.

🐻This 【La Marseillaise】 (French national anthem) was written between April 25 and 26, 1792, by Claude-Joseph Rouget de Lille (1760-1836), a military man and songwriter , that is said to have been created. After that, as the background of this 【La Marseillaise】, in the middle of the French Revolution (1789-1795), in the same year (1792), in the attack on Thuirurii Palace (August 10, 1792), by the public and military,XVI (1754-1793, 5th King of France of the Bourbon dynasty, last absolute monarch of France, first French despot) and Marie Antoinette (1755-1793, Queen Louis XVI) and other members of the royal family at the Tanpuru Tower imprisoned ,two weeks earlier, the federation squad from Marseille (the largest port city in southern France overlooking the Gulf of Lyon in the Mediterranean Sea) sang the federation song as they entered, humming 【La Marseillaise】 as an anthem of freedom,it made its way to Paris, where it was eventually adopted as the French national anthem in 1795. However, nine years later, in 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821, soldier and revolutionary during the French Revolution, emperor of the First Empire) became emperor, there was a time when the 【French national anthem】 was changed to the 【Departure song】.26 years later, in 1830, in the wake of the July Revolution, the ban on 【La Marseillaise】 was lifted as the national anthem ,around that time, Berlioz (1803-1869), a French romantic composer famous for his Symphony Fantasie, seems to have modified and arranged it. 22 years later, during the Second Empire (1852-1870) of Napoleon III (1808-1873, President of the Second Republic, Emperor of the Second Empire),even in the period of the Third Republic (1870-1940) that followed, at first, this 【La Marseillaise】seemed to have been avoided due to the intense color of the revolution. After such a period of twists and turns, in 1879 during the Third Republic, breaking the 27-year seal, it was established as the 【French national anthem】,to this day, it has been more than 200 years since 【La Marseillaise 】 was first hummed, and more than 100 years since it was established as the national anthem of France in 1879 during the Third Republic,it seems that there is a historical background that has passed through many eras. By the way, the port city of Marseille, where the federation squad are said to have originally hummed this song, 【La Marseillaise】, was founded in the 6th century BC as the Greek colony of Massalia,it seems that it developed as a " free port" in the 14th century. The spirit of the "free port" is well connected with the "freedom" of the tricolor (French flag) of "liberty (blue), equality (white), fraternity (red)",and for some reason I feel a mysterious truth in this 【La Marseillaise】. And,the "blue" in the tricolor, which means "freedom," gives me a feeling of enchanting freedom, skillfully influenced by the flow of the blue sea,in the flow of time, under the blue sky of Marseille, the birthplace of 【La Marseillaise】. And again, Marseille has a warm, humid, Mediterranean climate, with sunny days most of the year, and the atmosphere is very nice, I feel that it is reflected to some extent. In addition, this 【La Marseillaise】, which has such an atmosphere, awakens the unique French temperament, inherits the breath of the times that symbolizes the turbulent France called the French Revolution, and has a sense of patriotism and unity, it is a truly epoch-making song that is very approachable and beautiful to listen to, beautiful and touching, moving, that maintains (shows) a dramatic disposition to the present, passionate and dynamic, literally French, that's what I think. Also, this 【La Marseillaise】, which trembles the soul and rejoices in freedom, continues to carry the spirit of the legendary era to the present, and will continue to be a symbol of the future, under the roof of Paris, like the Eiffel Tower, I feel the ideal romance that will continue to be the essence of France, echoing and echoing even in unknown corners of the earth for many years to come.
🎠The legendary and traditional traditions of the turbulent French Revolution, the brave and pure, beautiful and exciting, rolling, smooth, romantic melodies, are conveyed with an original and dynamic feeling that remains unchanged even in today's era. In this 【La Marseillaise】 (French national anthem), I feel a warm heart and a gentle breeze, seeking freedom for dreams and hopes.
🎠When we listen to 【La Marseillaise】 (French national anthem), which praises the zeitgeist of the French Revolution, we feel that it is a sincere song specific to France.
🎠The main characters of BC Free High School that appear in the Japanese anime 【Girls & Panzer】carry flags based on the tricolor (French flag), and have a humor similar to France and 【La Marseillaise】 (French national anthem). And,I think it's very attractive.
