- I install a wall mounted awning frame attached to the side wall of a workshop. I built the awning frame from lumber off my property, this is an easy DIY project to create a covered space on the side of any building with a frame from wood.

Every video I watch impresses me more, your a real craftsman Dan!!
Enjoyed watching that. I just might try it.
You did a nice job on the awing but I think you should have cantered the door, raised the awing a foot and relocated the light to overhead. I would not have made the awing any smaller:
The construction is excellent - enjoy all your video!😀 you have every reason to be proud of your work - it is great!
I will also say that instead of a gutter you could put a water kick out on the roof to push the water away from the facade,
Thank you, I struggled for a long time deciding on whether or not to move the light and center the awning. The amount of extra work to do all of that and the expense of replacing that much siding is really what pushed me towards what I ended up with.
Nice looking awning. This is the first video I’ve seen from you in over a year and I am subscribed to your channel. Glad to see you’re still on RUclips. I’ve got some catching up to do
Looks fantastic!
Good stuff. Thank you Dan.
Awesome, really adds some interest to that side of the building
Great video.
That's awesome!
Awesome job Dan as usual! Thanks for sharing that I love how it looks.
Slainte,

nice work, you earned a sub here! The awning looks tremendous, I'm just curious why you opted for the birch or light wood for the trim?
Like the look of it, Dan. Curious how you did the overlap of the shingles and flashing up against the shop. Did you alternate flashing and shingles to prevent water from leaking that way?
Looks good. What kind of wood is that? How did you go about milling it? Know a guy, or did you hire a Sawyer to come out?
Did you caulk the joints on the vertical wall supports or isn't it necessary?
Yup I did caulk them.
Totally not my style, but excellent work nonetheless (as usual).
you ripped the tyvek... need to fix it (dont overlook it). the rest is nicely made.
