Cesar Chavez marches from San Ysidro POE to Salinas to Delano, California in 1975

This News 8 archive footage shows civil rights and labor movement activist Cesar Chavez as he made his way through San Diego in 1975. According to the United Farm Workers website, this was part of a 1,000-mile 59-day trek to educate farm workers about their newly-won rights. July 1, 1975. Roberto Salinas report.
