kinda wild how much the quality of your videos has improved happened on this video because im gearing up a resto druid / a boomkin for wrath and sunwell ty for all the great videos scotty ! you seriously get me through my day at work lol
For me, TBC was the most satisfying expansion for getting BIS. The dungeons were more streamlined than in classic, and you were also progressing towards keying for karazhan. It was also fun to research all the boss loot tables for the most appropriate pieces.
You often suggest in this video that the LW crafted gear is your choice for pre-raid BiS over the quest or instance acquired pieces, but the reality is that you'll likely end up with both. You don't hit 70 and magically have the LW skill, gold or farmed materials to instantly start crafting epic pieces. For example, you recommend those [Gloves of the Living Touch] over [Gloves of Preservation]. Well, sure they're much better. But in all likelihood you'll complete a normal Shattered Halls way before you can craft Living Touch... You'll be wearing those [Gloves of Preservation] for a few days to a week before you're ready to start crafting the epics. This isn't an "either/or" but rather a logical progression. Second nitpicky point... Leatherworking is pretty much mandatory for everyone that wants a raid spot. The 5% permanent Haste uptime from Drums is non-negotiable. Every. Single. Raid. Member. needs to have LW to activate when it's their turn in the drums rotation. Especially considering the upcoming Classic TBC bosses are all "pre-nerf" (according to the Blizzcon Q/A) unless Blizzard puts a sated effect or something on War Drums they'll be even more mandatory. Third, the engineering goggles aren't available during the Karazhan / Gruul / Mags phase of TBC so including them in a Karazhan Pre-raid BiS discussion is cute. Overall, this is a great video. It's good info that people are definitely going to be looking for shortly. Endless has a fresh 2.4.3 server coming out this Sunday (February 28th) and the Official TBC Classic realms are probably few months away so a load of people are going to be searching for these guides. Cheers and see you in Outland.
This is an old video and tbh i dont even agree with myself with most of this anymore, if you check recent live streams i am redoing all of these live. Drums wont be mandatory because blizzard have already said they are addressing them and don't want everyone in a raid to be LW. In regards to engi goggles, i still think they will be in from the start, more now than ever as its been confirmed its 2.4.3 server state and goggles are only a trained schematic from the trainer with no reputation gating (could be wrong here, but i am taking a punt) As i get through the new versions of these live i will be removing the old ones.
@@Scottejaye By giving Seal of Blood to Alliance, I am hopeful that Blizzard is willing to make other mechanical changes in the pursuit of balance and quality of life. Putting a sated effect on Drums would be lovely, it would free up a profession slot for like 95% of the player base. We'll see. Also hoping for a dual spec (maybe 1000g initial cost) and a change to arena team ratingss vs. personal rating. Patch and itemization are still very up in the air. Since Blizzard has all of the original source code (unlike Classic) they can go with more starting points than 2.4.3 and I believe they will. We'll have to see how that pans out. It would threaten to trivialize the content, though. Anyway, thanks for the response. Not sure if you'd care about my suggestion - but if you're re-doing these I would focus on quest rewards, instance drops and revered-or-lower reputation items for your lists. With the Classic realms progressing into TBC, the world-drops are going to be literally 40,000g or more. I'm still seeing people drop 50,000g on mid-tier items in GDKP runs in Classic. So much botting and gold buying for over a year has thoroughly ruined the economy. Most serious players are going to have epic flight pretty much week 1 and be dropping tens of thousands of gold on profession materials and BoEs. When you say "pricey" in these videos, I don't think you're truly capturing the severity of the economic problems Official TBC is going to have. I'd exclude them all together even if it means the list is no longer a literal "BiS". Cheers. Edit: I am also going to be there on Sunday, in the guild . See you in Outlands :)
@@NavyPharmD Definitely makes sense mate. I definitely understand where you are coming from in terms of economical problems!! I’ll look into the more “accessible” items, which aren’t behind a “pay wall” if that makes sense, for when I do this live next week. Please do check out the revised version when it’s up and let me know what you think. I am all about capturing what others think because I learn from you guys in the community as much as others learn from the videos I put out. Thanks again for all your input and see you on endless!!
Is endless anygood, I've been playing on lights vengeance just because its a continuation to Lights Hope server and everything is standard lvling, But it seems like endless has a much bigger player base
Rheice Shaw I’ll be honest, I love it on endless. It’s the busiest server I’ve played on (both live and private) I’ve never actually liked private servers, I’ve always struggled getting invested into them because they don’t feel “real”. But this is definitely different and I’m sure it’s because of how populated it is. If you give it a try, go alliance and I’ll buy you bags etc 👍
@@Scottejaye Hahaha thats really good I'm a bit of a private cconnoisseur I've played on all the ones that offer blizz like with no cash shops and boosted XP aswell as some that did have boosted xp I don't normally like it but this one seems very popular so I think I might give it a go, and cheers for extending the olive branch brother but I'm horde 4 lyf so will have to see you on the open fields :p
Scottejaye oh indeed. I didn’t watch the dps one I was thinking you already did boomkin. I don’t think as feral as 2 specs which I preferred it to stay 1 spec and just gear changes. I played feral in TBC as a off tank with a pally mt and changed gear and did dps I liked it more that way than the way it is now in retail.

Best video from the topic I have ever seen. Straight to the point, much better than HW's BS list. +1 sub
Larkan much appreciated mate and glad you enjoyed it!
the engineering helm is not available until Black Temple. just FYI
Great video dude. Thanks for posting cheers mate!
Brilliant video! Thanks for putting this together :) Hopefully it gets a lot more attention with the upcoming TBC classic announcement
Heroic shadow labs has epic 1H mace with 317 healing and stats which is better than gavel of light from shatar IMO
Just hit 70 on endless, perfect! Got something to do while waiting for AQ on Classic
@Scottejaye would love to see you mix this with the classic bis comparison one so we know which tbc bits to prio and which aren't worth the effort
i've done something similar mate on the channel recently specifically for resto druids ruclips.net/video/pX1rgJajRWw/видео.html
oh nvm i seen you watched it already
@@Scottejaye haha yeah it seems a combination would be best, work on the larger upgrades or easier to get TBC pre bis and mix some phase 6 bis
Great video man it was really helpful !!!
Thank you for this.
great video! For the Op goggles do you need any special specialisation for that or just buy recipe shattrath?

Darkmoon Card : Blue Dragon. What is your opinion on using this in TBC?
Please answer this question! :)
same as in classic: very good in long fights, useless if the boss dies quickly.
Very good for priests even in sunwell. Not bis for druids
Most of tier 3 is on par with these pre raid bis? Haha might just stay in my tier 3 and go bang
And with full naxx gear + atiesh mining/herbalist whats the gain compared to 1245+ healing?

Fel embers quest is ally only or what?
Yea it is mate, i mention that fact in later videos, i might not of in the druid one. Apologies.

Fix the title: Why Resto druids need to go leatherworking.
