I don't have any advice sadly. My Neurologist wrote a Rx for a power wheelchair for me and my federal (in Canada) insurance denied it because I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user (I have hEDS and MS that's mostly attacked my cerebellum). They said when I can't walk at all anymore they'll approve a chair for me, despite the fact that the chair is to help me keep walking for as long as possible. 🤦🙄 So commiseration at least. I have been there. Hopefully the GP will write a new referral that isn't slap dash and you get your chair. (I did finally get mine. My cousin's church group bought me a chair as their "one big good deed for Christmas") I really hope you get yours because they really are game changers. The freedom and autonomy they given you back are absolutely A+. I hope the second referral goes better. 😊🤞
Amazing video by the way and I totally understand that and also I suffer with cerebral palsy and I’ve got a learning disability and i have to take vitamin B12 tablets for life and also I used to use my wheelchair because I’ve got given it by my old school but I don’t use my wheelchair anymore because my dad is using my old wheelchair instead because my dad had a fall

That’s ridiculous for them to say!! I have an appointment next week to be assessed so fingers crossed for that!
Hoping there's and appeal process. I've had to do many appeals for my healthcare, and most have been successful.
I have called my gp to re send the referral so just waiting to hear back now 🤞🏼

Wait? Does that means you don't use a wheelchair anymore?
@@jwilleseries7764 I don’t use my wheelchair anymore because it doesn’t fit me anymore
