WCS is awful now, I got a poorly measured up active wheelchair I was supposed to have a Jayback mold for my back but they didn't want to spend more money so they gave me a bit of foam instead we argued and they just threatened just to give me a basic wheelchair instead. Going to pay for private somewhere like RGK but just curious did you get power assist device on the WCS or did you pay for it yourself?

Have you ever considered a Freewheel to lift the front? I’ve had one for 16 years, cobbles and gravel or grass, it’s dead simple so it always works. I plan to get a smart drive to go with it in the next few months

Yup...11 months for wheelchair to be delivered! Then this PAWS thing doesn't clamp to the tapered legs (old wheelchair didn't have tapers). Wheelchair great....SmartDrive great! BUT...perhaps PAWS are best left to Ralph!!🐾🐶The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman will likely be on the case!

Earlier today I was watching a livestream from Disney World, and I saw a dog that looked exactly like yours, and it was being pushed around in a stroller/pram! It was so adorable, just relaxing and looking around during the ride! Hoping you can get your equipment difficulties all get resolved soon. Thanks for the video! :)

Hey Ellie so sorry you're going through this at the moment, it can been super hard sometimes just to get people to understand. we shouldn't have to fight this hard to get basic things to work. is your one the same as a Batec? as I have a Batec on my old wheel chair that I use when we go out with the kids and also have my power chair for day to day stuff. but I had to fight so hard just to get the funding I was very close to giving up but I stuck with it had has been worth it so far. also I this its great you can get the word out their about this and hopefully someone might see this video and it may help.

Mate there's nothing worse than broken equipment. I really appreciate you sharing your whole frustrating journey with wheelchair services; it's very helpful as someone waiting to be evaluated. Trying to fit contacting suppliers around a work schedule sounds a nightmare and hopefully something gets sorted for you soon

I loved Battersea, the new bits are so accessible I found. Legitimately the only problem I had was with the tube coming north from south London, then transferring - the northern line has an unfortunate lack of level boarding platforms and finding tube staff is difficult at the best of times It's nice to know it's not my smartdrive battery going bad, just smartdrives having rubbish range. I always take my charger and charge up when I can - lots of shopping centres and cafes have phone charging which works just fine for charging my smartdrive up. I also use a heavily padded pair of bike gloves - I like the ones with gel padding across the palm - it protects my hands from damage and gives me a bit better grip when my grip strength is poor

Fun fact Battersea Power station was designed by the same person wh designed the iconic red telephone boxes Giles Gilbert Scott. I have chronic fatigue, fibro, and other chronic illnesses. Final bought myself a walking stick after convincing my self I don’t need one for long time, helps so much but still embarrassed to use it close to home because of the comments I know I’ll get from people around here in my part of Manchester

First off, your legs look amazing in shorts, please don't have any hang-ups over them. Second, hand blisters are common for wheelchair users. I tend to just leave them be and let them harden into callouses, it makes things easier in the long run, even if they're a bit unsightly.

Who needs battery power when you have Dad Power? Good old Dad. However, seeing as he is the star of the show, we need to see him. Come on Dad. You can do it next time!

My wheelchair is hard for my dad to push too, the chair is small and he’s too tall to push it comfortably. 😂 My chronic illnesses have definitely brought me closer to my parents. I get to spend more time with them, if I was healthy I might not have even been living with them anymore. Glad you had a wonderful time. Those flare leggings look super cute on you, I love how they look in the wheelchair. It can be a bit of a different experience trying to find clothes that look good and are functional in a wheelchair.😅

Love the video you did. Pushing a wheelchair without the power aid can be tricky. I now use fingerless gloves to stop the blisters and hard skin bumps. Ouch the busted thumb girl you push the way I do too and the rips are horrendous. I'm a para and yep the joys.

I get such range anxiety in my powered wheelchair too. It sucks. They need better batteries. lol

Glad to see another long form video from you! Loved the flat modification ideas; I'm going to be moving into a new flat in a few months and have been wracking my brain to come up with ways to modify it to make it accessible. I haven't been brave enough to try Doctor Who again lol my first episode was also the weeping angels.

Good afternoon have a couple of meal idea things that work for me as somebody with a physical disability(also use a wheelchair) I discovered meal prep containers and meal prepping a couple years ago . So I only cook a couple times a week and I meal prep adult Lunchables. Once or twice a week too. All you really need is some good quality meal prep containers usually divided containers are better Amazon has a wide variety of these. I was just diagnosed with hEDS this year, and watching you and how you explain your symptoms and pain is exactly how I feel. Not having an appetite and struggling to eat is all too real. It’s nice to know I’m not alone with the bad days. The day seems to never end when I’m feeling unwell, it’s just as hard mentally as physically.

Hope you feel better soon! I’m only at the beginning of the vid but your hair looked beautiful before you even put it up! Looks pretty both ways, but I hope you know how gorgeous it looks down as well, even before you’ve styled it 🫶🏽

Amazing video as always....You can buy transfer boards specifically for the bath so on flare up days you could use that to transfer then lower / manoeuvre yourself into the tub

Hey Ellie thanks for the video as always nice to see hope you cope when u struggle. one question have you spoken to your local council about what there can offer with funding to make your flat more accessable? as they might be able to help you with making the kitchen easy to use with maybe some cupboards that you an kinda pull out but then come down. its always worth asking to see what avabile. also its really good to have a PT, I have one to and it really does give you that reason not get up and go to the gym .

Hey i know this is a video from a while ago but i’m currently researching Motability and wanting some advice on this. For background i am 23 female who was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis back when i was 19. i really want independence and feels this idea would be suitable. But i’m unsure if my illness would gain any point because i have no idea about this. Also with PIP how would this work i’m going to try and apply for pip so i can only pay for the petrol. Please i really want to drive by next year i’m learning
