Exhaust has a spark arrestor and requires no re-packing. There is also an electric fan on the radiator, optional for the FX but back ordered from what I've heard. In the video he said it comes with a lead acid battery but that is incorrect, at least for the US model, it comes with a lithium battery.
I have the 2019 model and Love it! Swapped out the ECU, took out the throttle stop, exhaust baffle and airbox restrictor, maybe 2 hours worth of work and it rocks! My only complaint is that at low speeds in 1st the throttle can be kind of twitchy. Adjusted the Fuel/Ignition with the PowerTuner which has helped somewhat.
Yeah, and in the states they come with a stupid throttle stop(throttle only opens half way), snuffed up airbox and silencer, and a mild state of fuel management tune. Everybody here just buys the YZ250FX X country bike. It's a lot of work and money just to get a US model to run decent.

You can't go wrong with a 2-smoker, but there is definitely more servicing on that bike so after a while the two bikes become same pricing.
Have a 03 wr250f...still STRONG..have several XTs 250s & 350s air cooled ..still going ..yamaha has always been there .luv them

Kick start on EFI is useless.
If the battery dies the EFI won't work anyway so a kickstarter is dead weight
