hi Samuel, i bought the orchestra complete 3 some time ago, its a great tool to come up with ideas btw, when you clear some instruments to be left with just one, save it as a snapshot (or a new instrument) that way you dont need to disable the other instruments all the time, and you can use them one by one, just a tip, having the complete one, i dont have that problem hehe 😁😎as always, nice video, cheers mate
Yes! Good point. Just save it as a snapshot in Kontakt and you will have it as individual instrument at your disposal. Nice! Why didn't I think of that?!
Samuel… I can see how this free orchestra has its advantages over the others. However, I would still enjoy seeing a shootout video of the three best free orchestras. Cheers!
Brilliant! I'll be downloading this plug, thanks. I would like to see more videos like this and your orchestra track at the end.....sounds amazing! Great work and I subscribed as soon as I started watching your video.
Thanks to the very detailed demonstration, I have learned a few new tricks and tweaks. I am very impressed with the sounds of this free plugin and would be delighted to hear any further reports, as well as the shootout you mentioned. I also always really like your compositions! Best wishes from Germany.
Thank you for this...I downloaded this program a few months ago, but have been sidetracked with other projects...now I know more about what i can do with it! Can't wait to experiment!👏👍
Excellent review. I just got this plug-in before I watched your video. I now know more about it than I did before. You explained it far better than others I have watched. Great composition too!
I just discovered this orchestra and was SO excited to use it, but the interface is a little overwhelming to a newbie producer like myself, so I really appreciate this overview!!
Really enjoyed this video, thank you. I’m a long time songwriter and have been recording for many years, but I’m new to orchestral composition and would like to learn. Have you a guide on how to get started? Specifically I also use Studio One - when you say you extracted the different articulations for your demo song, how do you do that? Thanks again Samuel!
Hi Bill. I have a "How to start your first orchestral piece in Studio One" video planned for a while now. It just got bumped up the pipeline thanks to you! Stay tuned. Coming up soon!
Hi...just discovered your channel. I downloaded the free version yesterday and played with it a bit. It really sounds good! Now if I only had the talent you have to really make it shine! Great video thank you
Hi Samuel. Thank you for your great detailed video about this free orchestral library. It surely does quite a lot and seems versatile if you use it creatively. As I’m fairly new to full orchestral writing, it’s inspiring and well worth a download. I’d love you to create the shootout though, as I’m sure it’d be very insightful for us all. Have a fab creative happy day.
I absolutely love The Orchestra Complete 3. I am also in awe of how many ways Arpeggio can be pronounced. None of them necessarily "correct", but lots of variations. The pronunciation of ostinato is pretty much agreed upon. Great Overview and Demo! I think an overview of what you think is the best case scenario for each free library would be nice.
Okay, now there's a source for some insecurity. I am researching right now how to pronounce arpeggio 😁 Yes. They are all a bit different with different use cases and workflows in mind.
The arps on this program are good for playing rapid strings, horns, etc. The strings sound nice. I have noticed some note stealing when playing extended chords in two hands. I also ran into sticking notes. Wrote to the company, but no response about whether this is a limitation of the entry level program or a bug that needs fixing. For free, it is pretty fun. And if you're separating the parts into different layers, the note stealing would (presumably) not be an issue.
I agree, it looks like a no-brainer. But I don't want to judge publicly a product I didn't try myself. All I can say is the free version sounds good and professional, has some unique features and a good user interface.
My FREE beginner poor man's template completely changed from BBCSCO Discover to this and projectsam's TFO, I'm only using BBC for pizzicatos now. This library sounds like it has dynamic layers and solo winds (I don't think they sound like it's recorded in pairs), unfortunately the flute is weak. But the ability to make your own sections is just perfect.
I don't think so. At least not in the free version of the software. That is a real limitation imho. Other libraries that offer export to midi function, I often use as a starting point and then mingle with the midi from there. I don't think that will work with this orchestrator, though...
Thanks for the info. Just downloaded it. I have only 3 free orchestral libraries. I use BBCSO a lot (in unconventional ways) but this beast is on another level. It kind of plays itself and sounds pretty nice. I haven't checked out the choir yet, or harp. I am already getting carried away with this thing
So, I think there is a version 3 which is just the current version. And then there's a version 3 COMPLETE. And that one includes the brass strings and woodwind expansions with some extra articulations and orchestrations.
Do you know if this library is nks compatible? I ask because I use the komplete kontrol software and keyboard to make my workflow accessible since I am blind and require speech feedback for using the computer most of the time.
wow. got it. haven;t tried it yet. considering upgrade. Now with this AI avalanche we need this tools to be more efficient, fast and able to deliver options. This might help
Hi. Yes, I did get an order confirmation email with an attached pdf. The pdf contained the license key to use with Native Access. I would either try to re-"purchase" the library with a new email - or contact the sonuscore support. Oh, and double check the spam folder just in case...
Yes. This runs inside the free Kontakt Player. So, the VST is the "Kontakt Player". There you should see The Orchestra as part of your Kontakt libraries.
I agree that they follow different philosophies and purposes. Which is a great thing as it gives the community choice depending on your personal preference and work flow. What could be better? On the other hand, that doesn't mean I can't compare them. Just that to be fair I will try to look at things from different angles. The idea is to emphasize what each library is best for.

@@SamuFL That would be ideal! I’ve watched another of your videos tonight, and I find them really clear and to the point. Excellent
GREAT DEMO as always!
I will check out the free plugin.
Looking forward to the arpeggios! Thanks Again Samuel!❤
Enjoyed the video and content , look forward to any upcoming videos .....

You don’t need talent, just study and practice a lot.

Things surely get better with time. I watched the entire video. Must be interesting.
Great review and example. Yes please, a comparison of free vst’s would be very nice. You’ve got a new subscriber 😊
Whoop whoop! Thank you!
🤩thank you soooo much,i've learned many Features and tricks,so good and thanks for this wonderful video 😍👏👍👍 greetings from Germany, Hansi

Great video. It compelled me to look at the free version. The $249 price tag on the Complete Orchestra 3 looks like a great deal.

Can you add vibrato to any of the string parts?
If yo, I didn't find an option to control vibrato... If you find one, please let me know!
@@SamuFL ok maybe it’s on the paid version. It’s like 50 bucks which is reasonable!
Can the MIDI be exported from arpeggiator?
I don't think so. At least not in the free version of the software. That is a real limitation imho. Other libraries that offer export to midi function, I often use as a starting point and then mingle with the midi from there. I don't think that will work with this orchestrator, though...

Yes. The sound is really good - and it's "general purpose". That is huge. Like, I can hear proper dynamic layers and such. Really good content.
Fantastic!!!
the version 3 has all the other expansions including 1 and 2 ?
So, I think there is a version 3 which is just the current version. And then there's a version 3 COMPLETE. And that one includes the brass strings and woodwind expansions with some extra articulations and orchestrations.

Not sure about the free version, but the complete version is.
As far as I can tell it should be. But I cannot check myself as I don't have compatible hardware.

Did you get a mail with a serialnumber after you made the buy?
As I understand you should locate it in NI...I did not got any mail with a s/n you see.

This libraryto me is one of the best in the world of free libraries
Yes! I am absolutely surprised how good it is!
@@SamuFL sure thing! Thank you so much for taking your time to demo it.
Can you activate the subtitles
Done. Thank you for the hint!
I downloaded the free Orchestra Elements. they aren't VST's though. nkc & nkx files..... which I have no idea what they are
They're Kontak files. This only runs inside Kontak (or Komplete).
Yes. This runs inside the free Kontakt Player. So, the VST is the "Kontakt Player". There you should see The Orchestra as part of your Kontakt libraries.
Do it :) compare the 3 and let us have your professional opinion please
Aye aye - it's in the making!
Any plugin which needs to know where I live to sign up, is a hard no for me.
Installation is a nightmare
Yah... it's classic Kontakt by 3rd party...
Це брехня! Це не окремий vst, а бібліотеки для kontakt. Контакт не безкоштовний, але такі як ви ніколи про це не пишуть
Sorry, I can barely read the alphabet. But have no clue what you are saying...
I think the free orchestras are too different to compare ...🥀🪴

Yes yes yes! I am already thinking about the right categories to "compare" the libraries!
