Škoda is updating the hatchback and estate versions of its iconic Octavia. Its fourth modern generation has now been given a freshened look that includes a revised Škoda grille and new second‑generation LED Matrix beam headlights. Customers benefit from even more comprehensive standard equipment like a 10-inch Digital Display or dual-zone Climatronic. On top of that, the share of sustainable materials inside the car has increased. Further safety and assistance systems enhance active and passive safety and a new range structure provides additional individualisation options.

Skoda, you need to fix your shit ASAP, your cars are expensive more than ever, and the quality has gone down. The infotaiment system in the "old" model from 2020 was catastrophic. After 3 years and multiple updates/trip to the repair shop, the system seems to have found it's balance. Owners reported that the volume would go up to the max value out of no apparent reason, without the possibility to lower it. This is just a drop in the sea of problems with the infotaiment system, forums are full of complaints. People are angry because the cars used to be good - now they are not.
Ahaha you are kidding that the volume is blocking on max :D That's a huge safety issue.. I would never believe that such thing is possible on a car but apparently everything is possible nowadays.. and btw I don't understand why Octavia looks like BMW 3-series now, they used to have some design that was more individual in the past..

Numerous stories and unpleasant situations, from infotaiment resetting every time you start the car from non functioning link between the car and a mobile phone. this also costs 40-60€ per year and then you cannot use it. It is dreadful, speaking as a skoda fan mind you. They totally messed up. Every time the solution is - "come to the repairshop, we will update the system". Then they close current bugs and open a batch of new ones.
Almeno una volta a settimana si accende una spia sul cruscotto per segnalare guasti che il giorno dopo spariscono misteriosamente e la spia del guasto si spegne....ho perso un sacco di tempo il primo anno per andare in officine skoda dove puntualmente non c'era nulla se non la segnalazione del rilevamento guasto della spia.....vergognoso!!
Only problem I had with mine was during the first 2 weeks when I'd ask to ring someone and get someone else entirely 😂. It got an OTA update and has been perfect since. I'll admit to not being a gentle driver but I'm delighted with my Octavia Combi since 2021.

Octavia is surely increasing the quality. In the design, the front face looks beautiful in the first place, but the back side resembles the design of hyundai elentra etc. The back is not much.
The design is very in keeping with the history and culture of the company. Im glad they havn't copied BMW and Audi obviously on external elements however big screens and digital buttons are a big "No". That mechanism of controlling what should be regular and quick to controls should always be physical and tactile so you don't need more than a aplit second glance, texture feel and positive feedback from a button or dial. Tablets in cars are dangerous distractions. Just becaus Tesla are the loudest idiots on the block doesn't mean you have to try and be like them.

Skoda killed the claw that the pre-facelift version had. Just as the Superb became a car for my grandfather, the Octavia is similar. The question is: why? Why are you so confused and ruining what is good? The new VRS badge just looks bad. The new bumper is terrible. Why share LED tail lights? what's the point? Exactly. answer yourselves first before you spoil what was ok.
I'm half czech, half irish, but I didn't understand half of what he said. Let someone else to do the presentation next time.
And Skoda Octavia ? Nice car, I had Skoda Felicia, Octavia, Fabia and Superb. Very reliable cars, cheap to run, cheap for parts, last long. Space is brilliant, comfort is good, but seats are not very comfy unless you buy the highest version. Very quiet engines. Lights are great. I prefer Superb, but it is also more expensive, but worth the money.

I like the front of the current RS more because it has a more distinctive grill compared to the regular and it also has LED Fog Lights. This All Weather Software integration smells like corporate bullshit to save costs...

The 1.5 TSI 150hp is no longer available on the entry level model. Well done Skoda so now i have to pay more and step up to the SE L to get a 150hp engine. Great stuff.

Yes. 1.5 TSI DQ200 (🤢) 2.0 TSI vRS and TSI 4X4 use DQ381gen2. (😇)

ja oglądałem to auto na premierze w pracy był jeszcze nowy superb i Kodiaq, kilka osób objaśniało co gdzie i jak funkcjonuje ale z 20 min siedzieliśmy i nikt nie był w stanie wyjaśnić mojego pytania ,, Jak wyłączyć start/stop,, wspólnie grzebaliśmy w ustawieniach szukaliśmy jakiegoś magicznego przycisku i w żadnym z modeli nie udało się to znaleźć , czy to znaczy ze system start/stop już jest na stale włączony i będzie gasił auto przy każdym zatrzymaniu się.
Pozostaje liczyć na dobrą duszę w serwisie, która to wykoduje. Jak nie, to trzeba będzie oddać auto do speca, który ten system wyłączy. Start stop, to zło.
Why the headlights resemble to bmw m340i
The Tsi a poor qaulity Engine looses 1 litre engine oil every few thousand miles.The Auto Dsg Gearbox has common faults, the mechatronic unit which a manufactured one cost with fitting is £1400.Then the gearbox its self starts playing up rattling noises, jerking ece,which cost a used one £1200 or more at the you might buy another vehicle.I would suggest it is not worth buying if you do high mileage.
Use Motul multi oil in DSG and Ester oil in engine (group V).
Previous 2013-2019 generation was really attractive car. Since 2019 it's looks bad and i more than sure quality declined.

Good - sunroofs are terrible in the tropics, and often cut head space for taller people.
Highly recommend don't buy this cars only trouble after one year wery lower quality

Many people make additional sound insulation on Octavia (mine have rear Multilink and DCC - sound is ok,but can be better).

With matrix lights it looks better than the old model but with normal lights old model looks better. Matrix lights are a must on new model imo.

@@createdbyteo Where the headlight is narrowest, they installed an extension next to the mask. All contrary to the brand line. Even the Koreans did not succeed that. 🤣
