I'm just learning to speak norsk. Jeg elsker norsk language and culture. Not to mention history. Norsk is my first language I've been learning and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.
My mother is Norwegian. My father is Irish. I’d love to visit both. I know far more about my Irish side than I do my Norwegian side but I have 8 generations back in Norway and 13 for Ireland. My great grandpa began this documentation journey and then my grandpa and now my mother. It’s so incredible to see the amazing people my roots go back to. I’d love to experience it all in person.
My mother's mother is Irish.. my mother's father is from Norway... they met in London.
So you are half viking
Find a way to share this with other people. You could make your own vids about this and post them--I for one would watch!
I too have a Norwegian mother while my father was half Irish and half Swedish and Finnish. I've still not made it to any of those countries and I'd love to do so soon, as I'm older now and must do it while I can still try to climb the mountains next to the fijords.
U are lucky
I have visited Norway 3 times on a bus vacation....then in 2016 I did the Bergen to Kirkness journey on the Nordlys.
What an amazing and very beautiful journey it was.......I am saving my pennies to go back again, and it HAS to be on the Nordlys for me...
The people that produced this video did an amazing job. The scenic pictures are great. There is not so much talking... there are long pauses where you just hear the birds chirping, which is refreshing. The music is nice and the direction is so good. Nice one!!! Thank you!
Yeah I really like this type of stuff, maybe watch some David Attenborough if you're into this
The country that has been into my heart for so long, the country that I can feel a strong connection, the country that has taken some tears when I see all the amazing landscapes, the country that it's an inspiration and a challengue to walk by its road. I love norway even though I dont belong to this place. My respect for all those who live and respect nature. The best gift in life would be living in this paradise🙂. Regards from Chile🇨🇱
You should know that us norwigians would happily welcome you to our culture and home!
So Nice of you to say so. But now corona is here and 800 people have died here. Not so big num er in comparasing but we are a small contry. Now im wondering how you are doing in Chile..
We pray this terrible thing goes away.
@@monamarkussen8352 I'm travelling around the world. By now living the experience in Canada. Looking forward and praying to seeing the things get well in a close future. Chile despise of being a small country as well, it's has a huge number of deaths. Now that the summer is coming I think the things will get better. I just want to see the world be a better place for all of us.
Norway is a beautiful country with an amazing culture. I have been saving up money to visit Norway one day. I've even been learning Norsk.
Green Rose how is your progress?
Been to Norway yet?

Two years ago, i made this trip on Hurtigruten from Tromso to Kirkenes. Such a beautiful country, beautiful people. Just fall in love with its picturesque landscape. Love from Nepal
A country equally as beautiful as its people. Thank you for your benevolence & friendship, Norway!
🇳🇴
This was a wonderful experience to watch. I would love to travel to Norway. Living in peace is what I feel from this video.
Damn.. I wanna move to Norway.. And live my life as a farmer in a beautiful small village so I can go for a walk in the forests and mountains and admire the majesty of the Nature..
Lovelorn maybe I can make your dream come true
NORGE! 🇧🇻

Truly a blessing to live in Norway. Can't express how much I love this country. Wish I will visit at least once this Paradise. Love from India
That man at the end really put a smile on my face.
A truly stunningly beautiful country.
Wow... I think I'm in love with that place. I would love to be a poor farmer there!
Since having the opportunity of seeing the fjords and some other places in Norway, through working a very brief time on a greek cruise ship,i've then thought of Norway, being THE most stunning country on earth! And wished i could see it again and this time spend longer there, visiting its four corners! Shame i live in Mauritius, earning very little,to save to travel... I live in hope though....
Norway is peaceful, beautiful and organised.
Yes, one day I will visit this beautiful country. 💙
Enjoyed this, thank you. Such a beautiful country. I'm stuck in Ohio, a British Crown Colony.......
LightWorker61
I so want to visit Norway now. Many European countries I have been privileged to visit; but this is now a yearning that I have to visit Norway
Def recommended! Go for at the very least two weeks. It's a vast country with loads to explore by car, sea and foot.
Absolutely a magnificent beautiful country
Music by Victor Plaisance. Getting eerie 90s feels from his work and I intend to seek out more
very beautiful and kind people
You mean Vikings ? 😂
im not norwegian but i love norway im always go to alêsund, olso.... esp in bjioli we do skiing... and people are very nice
I really enjoyed this documentary about Norway. No where is the beautiful country, has a beautiful history and beautiful people. Currently I am just starting to learn the Norwegian language I am African-American, 41 years old and visually impaired and I’m actually listening to Harry Potter book for books are in Norwegian using voiceover. I can’t wait to become proficient in speaking this most beautiful language.
Thanks for your nice words about my country.
If you don't mind me asking, why are you learning our language? I'm definitely not complaining, but the opposite. There is very little reason to learn Norwegian as it has no place internationally. If you are living here or going to move here it's different of course. But anyone who just wants to learn the language is a surprise to me, but a welcome one :)
That warms the nationalist in me, come visit us sometime, I'm sure you would love it here!
Good luck. There are two Norwegian languages; "bokmål" and "nynorsk". "Bokmål" is derived from Danish, while "nynorsk" is a constructed language, based on dialects. There are also Norwegian dialects, which are quite incomprehendable, even for Norwegians. Still, you are more than welcome....
WOW Beautiful Norway, People and Culture.
Thank you for this video. I love the country and adore hearing the language. What a wonderful country.
My family is from Saljex Parish Njorfjord Norway and we now live in DETROIT MICHIGAN USA...... Talk about a change of scenery!!!

I visited Trondheim and Oslo and fell in love with both places. Luckily it was cold when I went as well and I loved it because I got to see these two cities during fall and it was so beautiful ❤️. Norway is my #1 favorite place I’ve ever visited out of the 12 countries I’ve been to so far.

It's beautiful and I would like to visit one day. Definitely on my bucket list.
Its a beautiful country...wish to be there someday..
I wish I lived there
We norwegians live in a quiet peaceful country, kind of distant from the major world problems actually. At Least is what i feel.
+Cerii That's how I feel about where I live in the US, in my region we hunt, fish, camp, farm, and do other outdoors activities. I often think about how quiet it is here, but if you go about 30 minutes out of where I live it gets more lively and dangerous. We're still connected to the world here, though.
Cerii Not for long thanks to immigration.
I can contact you
Cerii I'm not even Norwegian and I think it's treu what you say
sent vero fuck you there's nothing wrong with immigration 😡😡
Really loved this. Thanks for the upload.
Ja vi elsker dette landet! 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
This documentary bring me good memories in my travel to Kirkenes, Norway so long ago. Thanks for sharing!!
Very beautiful place...
Im now glad to have a ton of ancestors from Norway.. Im 50% Norwegian!
Were you born with one ski?
Speaking of, modern Snowboarding was invented by a Midwestern, I believe. Could he have been half Norwegian as well? Half Norwegian, half the number of skis...? #ponder
What a beautiful country... the people, culture & especially the Nature. Would love to visit Norway someaday.
Cool doc! Thanks for sharing

I came here after I read chapter 31 of The Scarred Viking's Bride on Wattpad! Very interesting indeed! :D
What a great looking country. I'd really like to visit there sometime. People seem to be friendly and the houses are all so colorful. Seems like a lot of people speak English as a second language.

what is Tree Fiddy?
So interesting. Thanks for create and share
Norway is amazing! :O
Yes, I have literally watched all videos about Norway, but I'm learning Swedish because I like its spelling and it's easier to pronounce.
Norwegian understands swedish :-)
You got it all wrong. Norwegian is much easier, both to spell and to pronounce. Not even Norwegians are able to sound like a native Swedish - after ten years of living there. All because of those 100 common words you must have learn to pronounce from the time you're three years old. Anybody can sound like a native Norwegian after half a year speaking Norwegian - if you're serious about it. If Norwegian isn't the most easiest language to learn to speak and write like a native, I would very much like to know what language beats it.
Norwegian is far from a perfect language. Just like all other languages there are parts you just have to learn by heart, but a huge part also follows strict rules and they are few.
beautiful country...! hopefully i can go there..
Pretty 😍!
One Day not far from now me and my mommy will visit your beautiful country. Till then a High Paw!!
Great video! 💖
Norway is the most beautiful country.
Wonderful thank you for sharing
I wish I could visit Norway one day.
All my mom’s ancestors came from Norway. I really want to visit the little towns and inlands that they came from. One is the island of Hitra
Did the Hurtigruten from Bergen to Lofoten Islands a few years ago. Just stunning.
Samis are called the natives in Norway, but they are not really the natives. The natives were a hunter and fishing people. They lived upon the coast of Finnmark Norway dated 9800 years ago. Samis in Norway have like 5500 years of history here.
The most beautiful country in the world !
Nope. Fiji.
New Zealand
AMEN!!!!
NORGE! 🇧🇻
wow really nice country
If only there was a cruise from U.S. to Norway, I'd be on it.
Some cargo ships actually allow passengers. :) Less "glits and glam" (I've seen some shabby looking cruise ships...), activities, and freedom of movement, perhaps, but the general comfort is surprisingly good. Takes a good while tho', as they tend to criss-cross up and down the European coasts before landing in Norway. :P
Nice place
I always thought about going to Norway for a couple of weeks
in
good idea .
God created a colourful world with different cultures and landscapes. It's amazing. Really would like to see and explore more
Very nice video. Thx.
I took this very same tour to the Nordcap.
NORGE! 🇧🇻
Amazing!
Har ikke vært i Ålesund enda og jeg elsker byggestilen byen har. Må ta meg en tur med Hurtigruten så snart Covid-19 er over.
I live in Ålesund
Damn what a great place
when u understand both norwegian and english, and the dude on the boat speaks in norwegian, and u try to listen and then the english translater starts talking
even though i don't speak Norwegian that is very relatable
haha yea
when someone begins a sentence, and then..
Let him speak please? Why do people only know one language it is 2019 language will bring us closer.
@@ryannmaten8372 It'd also bring people closer if it was the year 9999 or would have brought people closer back in 99. Not sure why you mentioned the year, it's a fact that pretty much whenever knowing other languages would most likely bring you closer to other people
Its better in HD. But I think is good enough ;)
Norway is such a beautiful place, id love to live there. Im Australian who works in construction, how difficult would it be to be accepted and make the transition would you think?
Im over the greed and endless consumerism of western culture and want to live within my means and enjoy the beauty of the land.
It'll be hard for you if you're not a graduate.since the immigration crisis government made it hard for people to get in the country without good backgroud
It is no problem, I've met Australians (not so often though) working here in construction. Plan it well, and you will do fine! Acceptance as an Australian is no problem, Norwegians love Australia
i wish i lived there..
Jaded Ledesma I do
I did, and now I'm happy I could escape from there. Worst experience of my life.
Why bro!
You meaning me?
@@sebastianplaum4667 Because Norwegian authorities give a shit if they crush people's lives. And if you're unlucky to get into that situation, Norway is rather hell than paradise.
Æ elske Norge ❤️💙

Thought we going to get to see Harold balder
Norway is breathtaking beutiful but somehow you feel very sad and lonely...
It breaks weak minds.
