I love when Steve is on the podcast! 👏🏻 He’s a gem! He reminds me so much of my dad, who is in heaven, who grew up in a tiny town in CO working on his family farm, didn’t cuss, or drink but also would say a word sometimes that was very NOT OK to say anymore. 🤣

As a sheltered kid myself, I would just like to say that the cuss words you weren’t allowed to say as kids were spot on. Not being allowed to say “what the” because it implied things 😂
I say “Bloomin’ Onion,” and “Oh my lolly,” instead gosh or golly just to avoid any g words that are an alternative to taking God’s name in vain. I liked how Candace Cameron Bure coined “Oh Mylanta,” on Fuller House because she would not take God’s name in vain.

Dude..... bowling is a serious sport! seriously! I basically grew up in a bowling alley and started at age 4. it can be VERY competitive and exciting!
I’m suspish that the word was really not bad and it’s bleeped for funny. Someone would have had to have guessed it by now and there’s no clue!
We had a tractor pull team in college and I got to drive one of the teams modified tractors at one event. It was 1200HP and so exciting… definitely much for fun to drive then to watch

My substitute curse word that I have been trying to work out of my vocabulary is “ah shoot” ever since my 2 year old daughter picked it up and started using it in place of “uh oh”. The problem is she says “ah shhh”, and boy do I get looks. After she said it a couple dozen times while visiting my parents, my dad asks me, “so what do you think she’s trying to say?”
I very much dislike cuss words, and the uncomfortableness with the word, "frick" is so true. 🤣I instead say, "Fridge!" for some reason
