Online dating is BRUTAL. Did it for years, went on some really crappy dates. however, I met my wife on hinge and we are very happily married. So it works. And like John said, what else was I gonna do, just walk around town? No thanks. Its the main option now.

I related to the Shaq story. I learned in high school that I could study and get straight A's or not study and get straight B's. I chose to study less and do homework in school so I could work at a Custom Cabinet shop after school and pursue woodworking projects that I was interested. Made dining room tables at the age of 16. Also made a stave snare drum that I'm super proud of.

On tipping: I went to a Domino's the other day. Ordered and paid online. Drove 10 mins to pick it up. Had me sign the receipt with the option to tip. Thought of this saga when I put a line through 😬😬 the girl was so sweet the 30 secs I interacted with her, so I still felt bad for not leaving a tip. Crazy society has us feeling this way!
A great quote for "kids" who work hard today "In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king!" It's easier to separate yourself by working hard because so many people are just putting in their time.

The awkward hug situation is the worst. Years back I bumped into someone at the office I hadn’t seen in forever. They caught me off guard immediately coming in for a hug. I leaned back and extended a handshake which made them uncomfortable so they stopped and extended a handshake. At that exact moment I felt guilty, pulled back my hand and leaned in for a hug. That cycle continued for what felt like hours until someone who was with us said, “this is the most awkward greeting I’ve ever seen.”
