Thank you so much for this video. I just set up my new machine. But they didn’t let me pick my own tester, only the one you did. But that’s ok I put it in my craft area and I also did the (you got this) and I for sure need to get the tools to take the vinyl off cause I had hard time without it lol. So I’m going to go out and get this for sure. I made some candles so I’m going to make some vinyl stickers to put on my candles. I can’t wait to learn more things with the cricut maker 3. I have a question about set up to devices. I normally use a Mac Air or my Mac Book Pro, however, all my designs are on a Windows 10 computer. Can I or should I set the machine up to both computers? Do I have to re-download and install it on each computer I want to use? I thought you could just log in from different computers to work on Design Space without having to do that and even work offline. What am I doing wrong? Thank you! I am binge watching your videos!

@@JenniferMaker I was able to figure it out. I had the wrong circuit selected. Apparently a lot of others had this problem. I kept YouTubing my error and stumbled on the right video. After countless hours, it was just a simple fix. But thank you so much for replying. You have gained a follower. I love how you explain things.
All the vinyl sheets I have are 12" wide. The guides don't adjust on the machine to handle that size and it goes wonky into the machine even if I hold it tight. What can I do to use this vinyl? Is there nothing and I have to buy new? If so, what size does it have to be?

I have cried and cried and cried some more. I cannot get my Cricut to do anything you said to do! It is is horrible. What a great video! Thank you. Wish I saw it yesterday before I spent 6 hrs trying to get my cricut to connect lol. My cricut will not connect to my chromebook. I guess I will have to use my phone. Although it is telling me I have to calibrate first n it says that I need a mat which I don't have because it does not come with one n it says I don't need one but it won't let me continue unless I calibrate it with a mat! Any ideas? I guess I will need to buy a mat?🤔
Hello. I just bought the cricut maker 3. I tested with the piece of smart vinyl that it came with but I found that the cut wasn't strong enough so when I tried to peel the vinyl the design came off. I tried changing the pressure to more but that still didn't work. I increased the pressure to 300 with no multiple cuts and it still didnt cut all the way through. Did you have this issue? I tried cut with 3x cuts and it worked but i don't think vinyl is supposed to require so much pressure ot multiple cuts. It's a brand new machine, so the blade has not been used before.

No, you do not. You will just set up the new Cricut under your account that you have and when you go to Design Space you will just choose which machine you are cutting with.

Hi Jennifer. Love all your videos! I am struggling a bit with my setup. I am using Windows. Everything is fine up to the point where you proceed with setup and it shows "updating" with the little bar running at the bottom. With mine, a bar appears and then almost instantly disappears...I re-started the setup and it did the same thing 😞Any advice?
Is there a place where I can buy power cable and that other one. I moved out of my house and when I was packing I don't remember where I packed it because I can't find it in any of the printers boxes. Am stuck now with just the machine. Anyone if you know

I'm not sure really without seeing it. I would make sure your blade is in correctly and the operation is set to basic cut. If you are still having trouble getting the cut to work, I would recommend reaching out to Cricut, help.cricut.com/hc/en-us
Following instructions for IPads set up, however when I get to connect screen and push connect the select accessory pops up, I made sure that Bluetooth has found and connected to Maker-3365. Nothing shows up still in the Select Accessory pop up screen. I have tried repeatedly and nothing shows up here. What am I doing wrong.

my first cut was a disaster it would not come off right when i tried to peal it away lol Is there a learning curve on how to weed smart vinyl i think it was oparator error on my part for the weeding i better try another cut lol
Different types of vinyl have different levels of difficulty to weed. Iron-on vinyl is the easiest but having a clean cut is the most important for easier weeding. Here is a reverse weeding technique. jennifermaker.com/reverse-weed-vinyl/

I'm setting up my new cricut maker 3 and I get to the screen to test cut and it says to load fine point blade but UT seems to not detect it and it has an I with a circle around it..I've taken the blade out n back in and still nothing is happening..what can I do?
I just went through the class but when I did the test cut nothing actually got cut. Is it possible that there is no blade in my machine that I just unboxed?
Hi Jennifer. Great video. Thank you for you time. I got my Maker 3, two weeks ago. Set up went well until until the part where it says rebooting machine. It did nothing for 4 hours. Internet connection was fine - watched your video. Machine connected fine Windows 10 - It says "Maker 3 : 4 USB". Tried again to update the firmware this evening. Same problem. Then I tried a test print. It says I had firmware 0. Pressed the Update button and again hung for 2 hours before I gave up. Any ideas on how to update my firmware? I'm using the USB connection, internet is a 50MB fibre line, been streaming stuff and looking at the Cricut website so the line is good.
Hi Jennifer. Found this online that fixed the problem: “kindly try out the following steps on your machine to Hard Reset it. Please ensure that the machine is connected to the computer via a USB cord. Unplug the power cord from the back of the machine. While holding down the Load Mat button, plug the power cord back in. The power light should turn solid red. Let go of the Load Mat button. The machine is now in Firmware Mode. In the Design Space menu (three white lines in the top left-hand corner for desktop) select Update Firmware. The machine should connect and prompt you to push an update through. The power light should turn back to white after the machine restarts and once the update is completed”

When I attempt to connect either via USB or Bluetooth to my PC, I keep getting the no device found on my PC. Not sure how to fix this.

You will need a mat. Only smart vinyl can be used without a mat.

Hello. I just bought the cricut maker 3. I tested with the piece of smart vinyl that it came with but I found that the cut wasn't strong enough so when I tried to peel the vinyl the design came off. I tried changing the pressure to more but that still didn't work. I increased the pressure to 300 with no multiple cuts and it still didnt cut all the way through. Did you have this issue? I tried cut with 3x cuts and it worked but i don't think vinyl is supposed to require so much pressure ot multiple cuts. It's a brand new machine, so the blade has not been used before.
Do I need to use a sticky mat to use card stock for this machine, if so, I’m concerned about the sticky mat losing its stickiness?
You do need a clean and sticky mat for good cuts. It's easy to keep them clean with your scraper and by keeping them covered when not in use 😊🌻

Yes, you can use smart vinyl with out a mat and all of the other vinyl and materials on a mat.

You may want to exit out and begin again. Don't adjust the size of the test cut on your canvas. 😊🌻

No, you do not. You will just set up the new Cricut under your account that you have and when you go to Design Space you will just choose which machine you are cutting with.

Hi Jennifer. Love all your videos! I am struggling a bit with my setup. I am using Windows. Everything is fine up to the point where you proceed with setup and it shows "updating" with the little bar running at the bottom. With mine, a bar appears and then almost instantly disappears...I re-started the setup and it did the same thing 😞Any advice?
You should be ablate restart the whole process.

I'm not sure really without seeing it. I would make sure your blade is in correctly and the operation is set to basic cut. If you are still having trouble getting the cut to work, I would recommend reaching out to Cricut, help.cricut.com/hc/en-us
Following instructions for IPads set up, however when I get to connect screen and push connect the select accessory pops up, I made sure that Bluetooth has found and connected to Maker-3365. Nothing shows up still in the Select Accessory pop up screen. I have tried repeatedly and nothing shows up here. What am I doing wrong.

my first cut was a disaster it would not come off right when i tried to peal it away lol Is there a learning curve on how to weed smart vinyl i think it was oparator error on my part for the weeding i better try another cut lol
Different types of vinyl have different levels of difficulty to weed. Iron-on vinyl is the easiest but having a clean cut is the most important for easier weeding. Here is a reverse weeding technique. jennifermaker.com/reverse-weed-vinyl/

I'm setting up my new cricut maker 3 and I get to the screen to test cut and it says to load fine point blade but UT seems to not detect it and it has an I with a circle around it..I've taken the blade out n back in and still nothing is happening..what can I do?

I just went through the class but when I did the test cut nothing actually got cut. Is it possible that there is no blade in my machine that I just unboxed?

I got my Maker 3, two weeks ago. Set up went well until until the part where it says rebooting machine. It did nothing for 4 hours. Internet connection was fine - watched your video. Machine connected fine Windows 10 - It says "Maker 3 : 4 USB". Tried again to update the firmware this evening. Same problem. Then I tried a test print. It says I had firmware 0. Pressed the Update button and again hung for 2 hours before I gave up. Any ideas on how to update my firmware? I'm using the USB connection, internet is a 50MB fibre line, been streaming stuff and looking at the Cricut website so the line is good.
Hi Jennifer. Found this online that fixed the problem:
“kindly try out the following steps on your machine to Hard Reset it. Please ensure that the machine is connected to the computer via a USB cord. Unplug the power cord from the back of the machine.
While holding down the Load Mat button, plug the power cord back in. The power light should turn solid red.
Let go of the Load Mat button. The machine is now in Firmware Mode.
In the Design Space menu (three white lines in the top left-hand corner for desktop) select Update Firmware.
The machine should connect and prompt you to push an update through. The power light should turn back to white after the machine restarts and once the update is completed”
