    im disappointed that they didnt include the 2011 subaru legacy. That also has AWD

    Hyundai has really stepped their game up in the past few years, and they have poured their hearts into these new designs and in my opinion they try to make sure that you get the best value for your money. I agree with their decision :)

    I like the overall look of the Accord, I just wish it had the interior design of the new Sonata. I also think the Malibu is still really underrated in this class, it really is not a bad choice.

    Never heard of the Suzuki Kizash before, for 2010 I'd go with either the Hyundai Sonata or Toyota Camry.

    I still see all these on the road except for the Suzuki (because they sold dozens) and the Sonata (which they sold around 900k of that gen in the US). They must have had some serious issues. Engine problems? I still even see the Malibus.

    @DocWolph Thank you! It does look like a 4-door Solara, doesn't it? It has a hideous grille though. Although I disagree about a Ford...I had a nightmare Taurus experience and will never trust Ford. In retrospect, my Honda Civic has been incredibly reliable...I'm surprised that the Honda isn't in the top 4.

    I now OWN the 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T.
    I traded a 2001 Hyundai Sonata, on which EVERYTHING STILL WORKED.
    This is THE BEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED and I had a 5 Liter Mustang.
    Forget the snide comments from others who've never even DRIVEN a Hyundai.
    You KNOW that they don't put a 10 Year, 100,000 Mile Warranty on a car, UNLESS THEY DESIGNED IT TO LAST THAT LONG.
    GO FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.
    WHEN YOU GET MORE CAR FOR LESS MONEY, YOU'LL WONDER, AS DO I, WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE HAVE THIS CAR?

  • @bsp1148

    @GOBbluthagain, Suzuki may be ok but not the best in terms of contents or value. Styling wise, it is the last of the bunch. Kazashi should feel lucky to be included in the final 4.

    @glsracer Everyone makes excuses why they don't like, hate, or whatever some thing. I personally don't care what yours are. FORDs are among the best cars in the US. They have been for decades and as I said, "I have never been let down by a FORD." You can't convince me FORDs are somehow bad because I haven't met a bad one in my 35 years of living. Whether you choose to understand that or not is not my problem.

    The sonata is the best one of all of them...it's about time someone makes a stylish car inside and our that is fun to drive and loaded for a good low price...the cocky honda and toyota companies should learn from this, and im sure they will when they're sales start slipping cuz the sonata is taking over!

    Mazda 6 is the best by far

  • @glsracer
    @glsracer 14 лет назад +1

    @steve9509 Oh resulting to petty name calling. Fact is that the Ford will be acceptable since it is based on a Mazda 6. My argument is that Ford has never been a good brand in this country, & while they are getting better; there is no reason to buy a Ford when better cars exist. If you want that platform buy the Mazda 6. With regard to the Sonata, its a nice car though its lack power in my opinion. The 2.0T should fix this. Lastly, I don't like the Camry or Solara, dont know where you got that.

    @DocWolph My sister's family has been let down by Ford's AT. They have the explorer and Navigator. They both have serious AT issues such as hardshifting.

  • @DocWolph

    @KoolCordell Competition is very tight in the Midsized car segment. It isn't atypical for the newest car to win top honors right off the bat. But being the first to market also means it'll be the first to age out and Ford, among others, are planning new cars, in the next couple of years.

  • @steve9509
    @steve9509 14 лет назад

    @henhun no, its not just the results they didnt show what places the other cars came in and really didnt go into detail on why one car was better than another.

  • @DocWolph
    @DocWolph 14 лет назад

    @glsracer Stats alone do not make a "better" car. "Better" is often defined by what a person wants. It is clearly bothering you that not everyone is jumping to buy what looks like a 4-door Toyota Solara. Your opinions are your own. However, they are not the consensus of the whole. I've never been let down by a Ford. I would likely buy a Fusion myself. I know I'm not alone in that .

  • @DocWolph
    @DocWolph 14 лет назад

    @glsracer The guy knows what he wants. Deal with it. Also the general market consensus is that the Sonata will loss it's value faster than almost any other car in the US Market. Chew on that a while.

  • @bsp1148
    @bsp1148 13 лет назад

    @DocWolph, they are just average CA drivers. The reasons why they are Ford fans in the first place is because of their first explorer. It lasted over 200k but the current ones seem to have problems a bit prematurely.

  • @hy77281

    The title sorta explains everything, this is a family sedan comparison. For a family you would want a slightly larger car, and better ride. The kizashi is the best here in terms of a personal car but not a family car.

  • @DocWolph
    @DocWolph 13 лет назад

    @bsp1148 I can't speak to that. Everyone has a different experience. Usually ownership, how you treat the vehicle, is the biggest variable. I don't know how your sister treated her FORD, how old it is, or how many or what kind of miles she put on it. The one thing I have learned that applies to ALL vehicles: "if you treat your vehicle like you want to keep it, it will last you until you don't."

  • @MrAudi1020
    @MrAudi1020 14 лет назад

    @GOBbluthagain The camry is a purists car. Its for someone who wants a comfortable car that does one thing only, and that is to be a comfortable car that can get you there safely. The Kizashi is also a good car, but it doesn't have the brand it has, and sportiness isn't what buyers in this category are looking for.

    its a shame GM tarnished Suzukis rep by selling rebadged Daewoo turds here as Suzukis. Genuine Suzukis are great cars. Good quaility. I have owned my Kizashi for about a year now and quite pleased with it. Im suprised the Accord wasnt #1 let alone top 4...

  • @DocWolph
    @DocWolph 13 лет назад

    @bsp1148 While I still stand by my last comment, that Ownership is the biggest determining factor in a car's longevity, periodically there is that "bad apple", a car that manages to find all the bad parts, or the workers who just didn't give a sh't that day, or what have you. There's not really a lot to do in a situation like that.

  • @chuckers40

    If Motorweek were to re-do this test for 2013, I think the Sonata/Optima would still rank 1. I think the upcoming Chevy Malibu and Ford Fusion will make a big jump The Volkswagen Passat and Nissan Altima will push. The Camry and Accord would drop down.

  • @glsracer
    @glsracer 14 лет назад +1

    What is with all these people saying the Fusion is a good car? It's the automotive equivalent of a polished turd. Are all of you products of a "buy me a ford truck" Alan Jackson family? Fusion may look acceptable but its just a longer, less reliable, uglier version of the Mazda 6. And I'll never understand the people that overlook a better car and buy a ford simply cause it has SYNC...

    A Toyota Camry in 2nd? Personally I think the Chevy Malibu should have been in the top 4. Compared to the recession made Malibu of the last generation; the new Malibu is a complete revolution. Toyota is slacking tremendously in their so called commitment to quality and refinement.

  • @glsracer

    @DocWolph Drive them back to back then talk to me about stats. Also you assume that the Sonata is my first pick or that I'm a Hyundai or Toyota fan. You couldn't be farther from the truth. I prefer Hondas and GMs. I've had many of both and have always been very happy. I've had Toyotas and they are good until something breaks, then you'll have to go through hell to get Toyota to make it right.
    Fords in the US have historically been very bad, and I seen no reason to believe the trend has changed

    The Camry was 2nd? What crack were they smoking? It looks like a generic rental car on cheap plastic wheels. The light tan mouse fur interior will look soiled in less than two months and on many used examples the door panals are already starting to wear thin. The interior looks the cheapeast of the bunch and many trim pieces feel low grade such as the flimsy A-pilar molding and cheesy plastic on the dash. The numb novacaine induced steering doesn't invite spirited driving. The Fusion is superior
