    Great routine! I hadn't heard that cue before for breathing through the nose up high as if smelling something bad -- very helpful!

      I am a subscriber to the application. 100% worth the $20 a month or whatever I pay. These workouts are so challenging but holy crap they help… I’ve been slowly getting back into MMA with my degenerative disc disease now. 3 years of pain …

    Well done video. How often do I repeat this routine in one training session. Compared to the 12 minute foundation training it is rather short. Thanks for comments.

    • @Txk56
      @Txk56 5 месяцев назад

      Not an expert, but my understanding is that the 12 minute foundation is focused on building core strength and some flexibility. While this one also works on those aspects, i think it's more aimed as a primer, something you do just once before doing a physically demanding job like firefighting or construction in order to activate the important muscles and prime those muscles and joints to be ready for the movements that come with physically demanding work. Coach Salas touches on this at the end around 8:30.

    6:34 we pull with the hips, we don't push with the knees. Can this be broken down a little bit more so I can better understand, thanks!

    Is there any thruth in the suggestion that practicing ISOMETRIC exercises increases your Blood Pressure and is something to consider if you are in your 70's or early 80's even though you keep fit?
    I love this particular series of exercises. Thank you Dr Goodman and Coach Salas!

      Quite the opposite effect Colin. Check out this Mayo Clinic research: www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org/hometown-health/speaking-of-health/isometric-exercise-and-blood-pressure

      Thank you very much indeed for sharing the article about new research that confirms that ISOMETRIC EXERCISES are indeed an effective tool for preventing or lowering blood pressure. I love your work. Best Wishes to you Dr Goodmand and Coach Jessie Salas.

    Hey! I’ve bought the program & have been doing the hip hinges workout. I am only in the second part with Jessie, but it’s been 3 days & my back is very sore to where I can barely bend over. Is this normal 3 days after workout? (Degenerative Disc Disease L5 & S1) Thanks! Let me know.

    • @FoundationTraining
      @FoundationTraining  5 месяцев назад +1

      If the pain eases as you go through the moves, yes that’s normal. If it feels similar to your typical pain, no that’s not normal. Please use my specific low back pain protocols on the app. Thank you.

    In the lunge stance (2nd pose with hands in front), are you visualizing bringing front heel to rear toes, or bringing both feet to the center line? Thanks.

      One more question -- what is the purpose of turning in the feet? I don't think I've ever seen this position trained. This is fascinating stuff. Thanks!

      You are correct in thinking 'bringing front heel to rear toes and rear toes to front heel'. Like a scissor closing
