I have been singing this song for 40 years, ever since I heard it as a college junior in '72-'73. Wore out record player needles playing this album....every song was better then the next.... a true classic. Studied the album cover, learned about Lawrence Ferlinghetti...couldn't get enough. Now I'm 60 and listening to this brings me right back. Great stuff!
saw them at Keene state collage in 1975, loved their music ever since. My wife have seen them several times in the last 10 years, brings back some great memories
In 1973 my husband and I where young and in love but separated from each other to try and figure life out. While separated he wrote me a letter and told me to listen to this song, it is how he felt about me. It still brings me to tears each time I hear it , and even more now! He has passed on, after 38 years of marriage and this song was our song, it took us through a great adventures, I love this song so much !!! brings me peace
61 here...omg...where did the time go ??? Love these guys. When I went to Salve Regina in Newport, RI, I lived in a mansion called Founders. We had a weekend par-tay and we had these guys play at it. Unfortunately, it rained, then was damp...and being right on the ocean, lots of people didn't show up...it was dang cold. This was in 1981.
Saw them at a nonpretentious night club called SALT in Newport Rhode Island. I liked how they were professional but under the radar. Fame didnt infect them like other musicians. It was a most wonderful time of my life. Good memories.
we are 60 :O) I still have this on vinyl been listening to these guys since 72 when they played in a high school auditorium but nothing beats the shows they did up at the Shaboo
I love this song so much.. I got introduced to it this morning.. and I have listened to it about 50 times already.. today. It's Mesmerising... and I wanna make love to this song, forever.
There are not many, what I call "perfect" albums, an album where every song is top notch: Dark Side of the Moon, Who's Next, and Aztec Two-step's first album.
Yeah, 60 in Dec. I was a freshman in a small upstate NY college when they came and played. I was thinking about giving all my records & turntable etc to goodwill, but as I look back through them and go youtube it gets harder.
These two wrote amazing tunes. They never received the fame that they deserved.

You left out a few albums, like Springsteen's Born to Run, Beatles Revolver, CSN'S first album, but yeah, you hit the nail on the head
Right behind ya! Seems like yesterday!
